As we all know the new sonics have been sucking a new micro engineering space turd.

But my god, does this new sonic look fucking awesome. Also DAT MUSIC at 1:30!

Dunno, all Sonic games I played so far went "speed for speed's sake", with shitty levels & gameplay. That video doesn't look much different. I also think speed generally clashes with playability/precision jump&run. Compared to stuff like Donkey Kong Country Returns, it's bland.

That vid also has bad scrolling, hope that's just a video issue.

Reviews have been pretty good against it, 8.5's 9's etc

Indeed, it doesnt look too bad.

TBH i dont kno why they didnt just make a new sonic adventure, those 2 games were awesome

Its funny how little a game like sonic has evolved since I played it on sega megadrive.

It was quite funny back then too though :)

Those two Dreamcast games? Srsly... they were absolutely terrible. Good running stages, but the adventure parts were from hell.

Ya indeed goza, screw everything about the adventure parts of those games, but the sonic and shadow levels, of which there were many, were incredible.

I loved the old sonic games, platforming, score-chasing, exploration/secret hunting and of course the great sound along with the graphics being crisp, colourful and bright.

A bunch more of that, packed in alongside a bunch new running levels a la the Dreamcast games sounds just great for me.

Just deinstalled this bullshit after 4 stages.
Sonic Generations is crap. I don't understand the gameplay they want to achieve, I know I'm old, but you have usually 0.2 seconds to react to anything. As said above, it's speed for speed's sake, but the speed kills any gameplay.

Try Donkey Kong Country Returns, the Kirby games or Mario Galaxy on the Wii. Thats platforming. SonicG is bullshit.
