Typical. Just as we migrate they start working on merging realms.
From 5.4 patch notes:
New Feature: Virtual Realms
Virtual Realms are sets of realms that are fused together, and will behave exactly as if they were one cohesive realm. Players on the same Virtual Realm will be able to join guilds, access a single Auction House, join arena teams and raids, as well run dungeons or group up to complete quests.
Players belonging to the same Virtual Realm will have a (#) symbol next to their name.

Indeed typical... Been waiting for 2 years for something like this and then they go implement it a month after we transfer :-\

told you the that with that 50% off an ppl leaving so much they would have to do something ....

Wonder what happens go guilds or chars with the same names on these realms? Also are they battlegroups or going to be random? I'd love for dunemaul and kazzak to be merged.

Lol, I thought their big 5.4 feature might be something like that, but then they came up with Flex Raiding.

I assume folks will still have their realm-name attached to the char name, so you'll have #Goza-Dunemaul and #Goza-Kazzak etc on a single virtual realm.

I havent seen anything official on this. Using battlegrounds would be an obvious choice, but on the other hand they might just make them based on all the "dead realms". sounds a bit like they want do it for all realms.

What's more typical is that they announce this RIGHT after their 50% off weekend. So yes, they knew people would migrate with the discount and after that they release, people wouldn't have migrated for 10 euro's if they knew this.
