Hello, Iron Edge!
Character: Hopesfall
Server: Stormreaver
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Stormreaver/Hopesfall/advanced
Class/Spec: Warrior (DPS)
Member Type: raider
Personal Info:
Name: Vegard
Age: 22
Work: I work as a salesman. My work hours may vary as I don't work 100% but I should be able to attend both raids each week. If I work nights I get off at 20.00 which would mean that I would not be ready to raid til around 20.20, but I would ofcourse let an officer know if that was the case, and understand if I had to be replaced.
Class/Spec:
I currently am specced Fury for main specc and Protection for offspec. My avg. ilvl for Fury is 543, and ilvl for prot is 512. I have been playing fury as my main spec ever since i capped my warrior in mid WotLK. I have prot as my offspec because I like to tank heroic dungeons if I'm getting my weekly valor cap, or farming justice points.
Alts:
Only "relevant" alt I have would probably be my Holy Paladin (http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/stormreaver/Beachsaw/simple). I also have a lvl 90 Hunter, Druid, Shaman, and Priest.
Professions:
I currently have Jewelcrafting (lvl 600) and Engineering (lvl 600) because of the gems you get from jewelcrafting and the tinkers from engineering (Synapse Springs, Nitro Boost, Glider)
Don't have any special recipes I can recall, but I've had Jewelcrafting since WotLK so there might be something rare hidden away somewhere.
Raiding Experience:
I have most experience raiding as DPS. I did tank briefly in Dragon Soul, but this was on a very low lvl, in LFR and the first 5/6 bosses on normal, Morchok HC.
As DPS I've done all WotLK content in their respected tiers. Cleared Naxx25 normal on my first lvl 80 char which was a DK. Also raided some Ulduar on the DK, just the 4 first bosses. Cleared ToGC on my warrior on normal, no hard modes. Cleared ICC on Normal and did 11/12 HC, never being able to kill LK before Cata hit. I Cataclysm I paused from raiding and did PVP for the first tier of content. Briefly returned to raiding in Firelands, clearing it on normal, and doing 6/7 while it was current content. In Dragon Soul I cleared it on normal, and only did Morchok on HC. I returned to Firelands and cleared it before MoP hit. In MoP I lost pretty much all interest in raiding and became a very casual player. I've done all content on LFR and most of SoO on Flex. But I have been looking for abit more from the game lately and have been looking around for a guild to join that is somewhat casual, but still has good progression.
Previous Guilds:
In WotLK I was officer in a guild called Keelhauled on Balnazzar. I was with them through most of ICC, but towards the end of the patch I left because I did not feel that the players there were looking for the same as me, as I wanted progression and to start doing HC content, while they were content with clearing 5/6 bosses a week on normal. So I left them for a guild called Eternals, also on Balnazzar, which at the time I joined had 9/12 HC. I stayed with them through the rest of WotLK and cleared 11/12 HC and also Halion as number 2 on the server.
Just before Cataclysm hit, Eternals fell apart, and I joined a guild called Compact Crab, which was a casual guild that focused on some raiding but was mostly about PvP. I stayed with them till Firelands hit. Then I joined Mean Girls which is the guild I currently am in (the name was changed to The Mean Saints when we moved from Balnazzar to Stormreaver). The reason I'm looking for new guild is that The Mean Saints is curretly dead, and I have been thinking about moving to Kazzak since several people from my old realm moved there and it is alot more active than my current realm.
Availability:
I am always available from 20.30 til 00.00, and most days I am available for the entire day. Like I mentioned earlier the shifts at my job sometimes goes on til 20.00, which could mean that I would be 15/20 mins delayed. I hope this won't be a problem, and normally I only work shifts from 07.00 to 15.00, so I would be on rare occations that I would be late or have to decline a raid. Other then work there is nothing that keeps me occupied on Monday and Thursday nights.
Communication:
I would consider myself proficient in english, I can download Team Speak, and I have a headset with a microphone so that I can communicate during raids.
Computer / Connection:
I would consider both my connection and my computer decent. I very rarely disconnect. If I have problems with my connection its rarely more fuzz than to restart my router and its good to go again.
Link to a speedtest I just did: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3294570534
My current ping on Kazzak, tested while the realm was Locked: 58 (home), 56 (world)
Addons/UI:
Deadly Boss Mods
ElvUI
TidyPlates
I mostly configure ElvUI according to my needs when it comes to raiding.

Other Games:
DayZ, Rust, Hearthstone, Minecraft, I am also praticipating in the The Elder Scrolls Online Beta.
Why Iron Edge?
Because you seem like the kind of guild I would like to be a part of. An active guild that is not only focused on progress. And your raid schedule fits perfectly with what I would like to be a part of.
What can I offer Iron Edge?
Seeing as my gear is pretty bad, I would say that what I can offer is my dedication. I am very aware of the fact that I am not a master at my class and that I can always better myself both as a player and as a raid member. I feel that I am able to take constructive critique very well, and I take it to heart and try to improve by listening to it.
Where did I hear about Iron Edge??
Wowprogress
Last Words?
As you can see my gear is not the best. I really hope that you can see past that and give me a chance to prove myself even tho my gear is pretty bad. Ofcourse I will migrate to Kazzak if I am accepted into the guild (something I likly will do regardless sooner or later). If you have any questions feel free to ask, and I will reply as fast as I can.

Hail Vegard.
Its a very very nice apply, thanks for that. Also like ur addons too. But i guess ur gear really low for heroic raiding. Maybe u can try 'social' spot.
lets see what our officer's says.
good luck.
-
Thanks alot :) Yeah I am very aware that my gear is pretty bad, and if the officers feel that it's not good enough to join the raid team, then I'd be happy to join as a social and hopefully improve my gear some more ;)
-
I like your application and its nice that you have proper professions and the legendary cloak. But as you note yourself you are quite undergeared for jumping directly in to the last tier of heroics.
I would like to offer you a social spot and when you are properly geared we can see about a raiding spot.
-
Thank you :) yes I ofcourse understand and I happily accept the social spot :) I can whisper you in-game when I've gotten moved to Kazzak!
-
Im a horrible raidlogger, you are probably better off whispering Saffie or Rashkebab.
-
Will do :)
-
wellcome on board friend.
also please watch all heroic 25 man videos.
see ya

Hello there mate, finally we got a warrior application in here that I can look over! I could not see your profile on armory, but however the application in itself was really good.
I saw you got the social spot, congratz with that! I'm the only raiding warrior in the guild atm, so if you have any questions about warrior dps rotation, gearing, watherver it should be, just ask me !
You also applyed as raider, wich can be a good thing in my eyes but you really have to improve your gear because it's to low for heroic raiding atm. But if you try getting your gear alot higher, maby you can make another application when the item lvl is better, I can also help you with improvements! :)
Feel free to /w me ingame
