hey guys.
well this is the thing -.- i got disconnected yesterday at AQ40 around 00:00 , i couldnt fix it so i gone to bed :/.
But theres one thing i like "need" help with...
Me and my brother use a modem (router?) for our internet connection.
Theres a long contact from the modem -> telephone thingy.
Then i have one contact(internet cable) from my PC into the modem in my bro's room.
Also my brother have his Internet cable into the modem to his PC.
Thing is the internet WORKS for his computer but NOT on mine....its anoying as hell :/ cant play on his PC, not used to it.
I rebooted the modem, took in and out the cable into different sockets, done all i can.
I inactivated and actived the net connection...what else is there to do:/ its really bugging me.
Any nice help of u guys?

Did you forget the obvious? To reboot your computer?
It could be your cable.
Does windows say that you have established a connection to a lan? In that case its not the cable.
Have you checked if you have received an DHCP assigned IP?
Another problem could in theory be a Firewall that has gone in to "STOP ALL" mode. I had had friend whom by accident made his zonealarm stop all internet traffic.

sounds like it could be anything to me Shann!
I also think its really option to suggestions so if i was you i'd go and google some information on "setting up home LAN" or "simple lan configuration" something like that and find a document you can understand to take you throught he whole setup.
will take a little while but at least you will know its configured and working/not working you would have a far better idea of what to post for help :)

great ;) i fixed my internet now, apparently it was the stupid net cable again.
NOw it works i just smashed it a bit.
im gonna buy a new one anyway tomorrow ;D thanks for the advices guys!
(and yeah cable was ok until 2 days ago -.-)
