Hello, Iron Edge!
I am applying to be a social member.
Character: Taquito
Server: Twisting-Nether
Armory: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/Twisting-Nether/Taquito
Class/Spec: Paladin (DPS/Tank)
Member Type: Social
Personal Info:
Hola, I'm Ramon, 27, from the Netherlands. I work in financial planning (not billable ingame) and I'm looking to get back into the game again. More below.
Class/Spec:
I just got back into BFA again after I quit early on, because it just wasn't appealing to me. Right now I'm not sure what I will be playing but I will use the information from the Alpha / Beta to decide what I'll be playing and will continue to play for Shadowlands.
My current aim is unlocking all the allied races so I can change things up with the races, and after that preparing for Shadowlands.
Right now I have one character on Kazzak which I'm leveling (Blaazed), but when I commit I'll transfer at least one character over.
Alts:
I have a whole bunch of 120 characters on Twisting Nether, but my aim isn't to stay on Twisting Nether.
I've always been a fan of having multiple characters ready to play, so my plan is to level a bunch of characters on Kazzak with the 100% xp buff.
Professions:
Right now I have Engineering and Enchanting on my main. The only required profession for me is Engineering, ever since Challenge Modes I couldn't let go of the nitro boosts.
Raiding/PVP Experience:
I started raiding a bit more hardcore in the Catalcysm era, when MOP hit I focused mostly on doing CM boosts and stopped raiding very hardcore. Our CM team was in the top 10-20 and we had a pretty amazing time running records and boosting.
When M+ became a thing I did that regularly to try and push the scores.
In WOD/Legion I raided 2-3 times a week in several semi-hardcore guilds with decent progress, mostly cutting edge.
I tried looking to see if I could find some old logs because I don't have any recent ones for BFA.

Previous Guilds:
I've always been a pretty loyal guy when it comes to guilds. I'm in it for the social aspect too and as long as I enjoy the people and the atmosphere I stick around. The times that I've left guilds was when I had to stop raiding because of changed raid times that did not fit me or when I saw a lot of people that I liked playing with leave.
Availability:
I usually play in the evenings and weekends, where the times that I play vary a bit.
Communication:
My English is fine I'd say, and I'm usually pretty vocal on Discord etc. I've also learned my fair share of Danish sentences over the years.
Computer / Connection:
I bought a new PC about a year ago which suits all my need perfectly. My ping is usually around 20ms and I rarely DC.
Addons/UI:
Right now I just got back into the game and am planning to redo most of my UI. I usually use:
- ElvUI
- Weakauras
- Angry Assignments
- ERT
- Big Wigs
When I redo my UI I might look into some more addons.
Other Games:
I've mostly been a WoW player but play some games on the side. That's usually OSRS, Diablo (for a week until I get bored of the new season) and Age of Empires.
Why Iron Edge?
Some old buddies that I used to play with are in the guild. I've played in WOD/Legion with Pratiarch / Varum / Fabulousfu / Ryrka. Runethene and I even go way back to the CM era.
What can I offer Iron Edge?
I'm a social guy that likes to talk on Discord etc, will also be a loyal member that sticks around.
Where did I hear about Iron Edge?
Mostly through talking to Pratiarch recently and talking about a comeback into WoW.
Last Words?
I'm looking to get back into raiding for Shadowlands, so I will most likely apply for a spot in the main raid team at some point.

Ramon has my vouch no problem! I believe he would be a nice addition to the guild :)

Hey Ramon.
THanks for applying. You can poke an officer for an invite whenever you're ready.
We'll revisit the raid team trial when Shadowlands comes around :D
