Title: need tech. help

I had many problems with my pc/wow this last week and now finally I downloaded most of it I also downloaded the last patch but the thing is at the last percent of the blizzard updater I get an error. pls check the attachment. and info would be so useful. anyone has some clue about this technical problem?

uhmm check if that file isnt tagget as read-only?

Look in your c:\program files\world of warcraft\data\ folder and see if there's a file called patch.MPQ.Trash and delete it.

ok thanks alot for the info guys..

I created a copy of patch.MPQ and renamed it as "patch.MPQ.Trash" and pasted to same place so actually there were 2 files the same but named differently,,,
it did work I can open the game now and select realms but thank God I have a new problem as even if I click an active realm I cant get the character list. "retrieving character list" warning stays as long as I wait no matter if I have active characters at the realm or not...

WoW is broken.  It's like that for everyone.
