So I'm using Sony Vegas 8.0b, and I have this issue with the quality.
I'm recording with fraps at close to in-game quality, but when I render my vids they start to look like this:

It might be some settings, but I don't really know much about a good type/template to render it as.
Anyone know how I can fix this? :)

Could you show us your rendering template?

I recently downloaded and tried Vegas Pro 10, and the result was the same with the DEFAULT template. There are a million if not more guides on how to optimize your rendering options, try look some of them up! Did your video also get a bunch of blackouts in the middle of nowhere?

nope no blackouts
this is the settings I used, I'm not sure if this supports 720p or 1080p either..

Try to unmark the stretch-part. "Stretch video to fill output frame size". Might be what causes the problem
-
trying that now, it's rendering
Gozhell - I tried two tutorials now, but they're all for a more recent version of vegas =/. I'll check some more.

more recent version of vegas
Time to update!

cba, this pretty much has all the functions I need so far.
The non-stretching worked! Just gotta find a better quality to support 1080HD, thanks for the help :)

Need better codec yo!
