Heya,
So the server that the IE site and TeamSpeak use is moving -- I'm installing a new server, and moving all the IE stuff there.
This shouldn't affect the forum, but there might be some downtime in the future, while everything moves over. Will let you know nearer the time.
re: TeamSpeak... I would like to take this chance to install a new version of TS3 and fix all of the permission issues we have. This will mean that everyone loses their user account, avatar, permissions, etc.
I am more than happy to set everyone up with the right permissions again. But if anyone has a problem with this, say so now.
I will try to recreate all of the old rooms, too. But I won't save the descriptions of the rooms -- so if you have some funny quotes/stories/etc in your channel description (South Africans?) you should save it to Notepad now, or something.

Yes! I have one : can you give permission to our officers to kick someone from ts? It happened only once, but you never know...

(I'm sure Grax and Hug should be able to kick people from TS... but maybe I never gave them permissions...)

Can we ban IP's? There was this dude constantly relogging after getting kicked a while ago.

Hug did/does have permission, but he doesn't raid anymore.

Nuh uh, we're not having passworded channels -- otherwise the rest of IE can't get in!

Could just have the password under guild info, like with the dkp site.
I dont really care though, as long as we can ban spammers IP's

Is it possible to have that member rank stuff on TS as we had with vent? and perhaps put said rank as a requirement for raiding channels? Perhaps make it so that you could still be moved into the raiding channels by a admin while on trial?
It would solve the problem with non members being able to spam the raid channels and still let randoms and old members join TS to chat in the other rooms. I rarely see people in the raiding channels outside raid times anyway.

OK, on Friday afternoon the site will go down for maintenance (it will actually switch over to a new server). I am not expecting any serious down time, but it could be gone for 10-30 minutes -- or longer, if I mess something up.
I will also be bringing up a new TS3 server. All of your existing permissions will be gone, but most/all of the old channels will be there. Over the weekend I can give people admin rights and stuff.
If you want to save anything from TS3, do it now. Channel descriptions, avatars, etc.
