Title: Raider Application - Shaman (DPS) - Chedori
Post by: Applicant on February 10, 2015, 08:33:42 pm
Hello, Iron Edge!

I am applying for the main raid.

Character: Chedori
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Kazzak/Chedori/advanced
Class/Spec: Shaman (DPS)
Member Type: raider

Personal Info:

Sami Kindy, 22, Omani living in UAE, Not working, Not a studnt.

Class/Spec:

Enhancement / Restoration

Enhancement 655ilvl.

I prefer Enhancement cause i loved playing it since Wotlk after i got sick of playing mage.

Restoration 645ilvl.

I'm not a very good/bad healer i would call myself a decent healer and i dont like healing anyways just being honest.

Talents:
Lvl 15 - Astral Shift - The best talent do mitigate some of the unavoidable damage. Nature's Guardian can be useful, but overall Astral Shift can provide better survivability.
Lvl 30 - These talents are all kinda useless, Windwalk Totem can be used on Koragh's Frozen Orb to remove the slow.
Lvl 45 - Useless talents aswell
Lvl 60 - Ancestral Swiftness - I find this talent to be the best on sustained single target damage. The active is not the best, but the passive 5% haste and attackspeed really helps your sustained damage. Elemental Mastery provide more burst, but I rather have more sustained damage. These 2 talents are extremely close tho. Echo of the Elements starts to shine in fights with sustained AoE like Tectus, but isn't as good as the other 2 for single target.
Lvl 75 - Ancestral Guidance or Rushing streams - All of these talents are kinda weak, but if can provide a small amount of raid healing that might help why not,Ancestral Guidance is for short fight and Rushing streams is for long fights cause it might help the healers when they are OOM
Lvl 90 - Primal Elementalist - I've tested all of these talents and Primal Elementalist provides the most damage out of these talents consistently.
Lvl 100 - Liquid Magma - The others talents are really not competive at the moment. Liquid Magma beat them on almost every front and the AoE it provides is really good aswell.

Stats priority :

Haste to 50%
Mastery
Multistrike
Versatility
Critical Strike

Rotation :
Enhancement Shamans doesn't have a real rotation like other classes. We just follow a priority list and use the best spell that isn't on cd. Currently this is the priority list:
-Lightning Bolt when 5x Maelstrom Stacks
-Unleash Elements
-Stormstrike/Lava Lash (after the buffs to Stormstrike this one is extremely close in value)
-Refresh Flame Shock when <9 sec (always have the Unleash Flame buff on)
-Frost Shock
-Keep Searing Totem up
-Lightning Bolt as a filler

Alts:

Chouchita-Kazzak : Mage - 662.
Chido-Kazzak : Druid feral - 667.
paladin WoD boosted.

alliance account with all classes that i play for achievements only.

i know that my alts are with higher ill but ill explane why im applying as a shaman because, its always been my main untill WoD when i decided to switch to feral druid but realized that druids are not very good for mythic raiding and they are almost weak in all specs so i really want to play with my shaman i miss it !

and with the mage i was just lucky with the loot and shaman really unlucky never had weapons infact weapon are the most important items for melee dps its just unlucky and i didnt play it much.

Professions:

It doesn't really matter anymore in WoD but if you guys really want to know they are
Engineering - Jewelcrafting. :D:D

Raiding Experience:

Vanilla - Fire Mage.
Tbc - Fire Mage.
WoTlK - Fire mage after naxx switched to shaman and cleared everything in normal mode and ICC 11/12HC10/25 AND RS10m HC.
Cata - Enhancement Shaman cleared everything in normal mode and DS4/8HC after that i stoped raiding and been sent to jail for almost 1 year don't ask me for the reason. -.-
MoP - i got out jail and came back at end of MoP but i still manged to do SOO full HC.
WoD - 7/7HM HC 7/10 BRF NM.

Previous Guilds:

I like Big Buffs - im leaving the guild because im looking for a better progress i really like the guilds Community its fun but at the sametime they are way to far in progress they are not very serious raiding player.

Availability:

At the moment i'm free 24/7 so dont worry about that will see me online 24/8 instead of 7 :)

Communication:

Yes got TS3/MIC.
English isn't my mother language but i understand very well and speaking i sometimes get brain lag , so i kinda prefer to type while raiding and leave the TS3/Vent for the officer to baby sit the other players. ;)

Computer / Connection:

my connection speed is 50mps

OPERATING SYSTEM:
Windows 2.6.1.7600

A couple of things that stood out on your app:

- You say you'll give >80% attendance, which is just barely above the 75% expected of a raider, not too great.

- "Professions aren't useful any more"... true, sort of. With your professions and ones on your alts, you could have a better neck and gloves (even if gold is a problem). Also lacking all enchantments.

On the plus side, you do know the class/spec well!

Will have to see what others say too.

First impression = boost meh to purple epicsville

Now that's out the way to stand a chance in any application be it a guild or job if you don't put the effort in preparation it in my mind gives impression you can't be that serious bout your play time.

No real excuse for not gearing with profession on alts and that is so easy to do, especially as no profession level requirements anymore since WoD, as mentioned at start a first impression is a lasting one, good luck in your app, your going to need it imho.

Was exactly the point, Grax.

-i got all the mats for the enchantments, i'm prepared dont worry  8)   8) .

Then why put no work into it? Even if stuff is going to be replaced soon/quickly, doing the best you can with what you've got is better than being "that'll do" after doing nothing.

Really not selling it currently.

-my ping looks high to you its because i play from the U.A.E so its not even in Europe 130 and
its the best as it gets to Asian players that play in EU  its the normal ping us i , even if i got a the best connection it will still be 130min, i can lower by WTFAST but its will lower it to 50-70 maybe more

-like i said i can get all the gear/enchants i have all the mats ready.

im still raiding with my feral druid as a main so i had not much time to play with the shaman . but  i always do pug/alt run to gear up but no luck, i'm reserving items but they never drop  :(

I'm going to decline this then. You don't appear to be willing to put in the work for things.

Good luck finding a guild!
