Title: Casual - What class to play
Post by: Lightshifter on December 07, 2017, 12:50:08 pm
Hello fellow IE's,

Im doubting if my current spec/class is the right choice to use.
Since Burning Crusade i've been a guardian druid, hardcore raiding till after WOTLK, casual since then.
At this moment I'm doubting if guardian is a right spec, there seems to be no shortage of tanks around and its semi impossible to keep up with raiding tanks gearwise.

Now im doubting between switching to boomkin dps, which im not really fond of or releveling a hunter I raided Vanilla with.

How viable are hunters these days?

Asking this because I'm seeing lotsa mytic runs invites around but Im not feeling confident enough to tank these with my gear. Joining as DPS might be easier?

Or should I suck it up and stick with guardian...

What to do, what to do..

Tanking will help you farm m+ a lot more though, so you can get some gear!

If you're not raiding I wouldn't recommend sinking your teeth into any given spec and sticking to it. If you're open to playing more than one spec, why not play them simultaneously?

I started as  rogue in vanilla rolled bear just before tbc.

Played paladin in the first half of wotlk and has been bear as main more or less since then ( and I have all classes at 110).

Druids are awesome and so are the other hybrids imo. Going for dps if you want to be able to find groups seems like a really odd choice. Get some gear for bear and some experience. Or go resto. Dpsers  always complain about finding groups.

Personally though if instances is your focus I prefer doing dungeons as blood dk they have so many nice utility spells for dungeons. Silence grip etc.

I agree with Grax. If you group a lot with randoms hybrid classes are the way to go. I have played played paladin since TBC and due to raid setup I rerolled to warlock in Legion and I really miss the hybrid specc for random group stuff.

I don't know what I'll play in BfA but I will definitely be a hybrid class.
