I've been browsing through the games available through steam and at the recent Batman game in particular but I've encountered something new to me which looks dodgy to me but is probably fine once it's explained.

3rd-party DRM: SecuROM™
4 per month machine activation limit

That is on the Batman: Arkham Asylum information, I wiki'd it but it's very brief.

Does anyone have any more info on this for me?

I wiki'd it but it's very brief.

The use of SecuROM has generated controversy due to the fact that it is not uninstalled upon removal of the game.

This was pretty much the reason why I came here to ask for opinions... nevermind

Well if you're worried about it not uninstalling there's also plenty of stuff on google on how to remove the securom files .
