Raid: 25 Man Casual Raid
Personal Info: My names Hormis (i know, how clever am I with the anagram -.-), I'm from a tiny village in northwest England that you'll never have heard of, and I'm currently enjoying my freedom this summer before Uni.
Spec: I'm playing survival at the moment, mostly because I love blowing up stuff, but I'm able to play all three specs when there is a large enough gap in simulations for one to be clearly better than the others.
Class: I've always been a hunter at heart, my first ever character was a tiny dwarf hunter waaay back in vanilla on my cousin's account. Over the years I've tried out other classes, and my first level capped character was actually a DK, but I've always been drawn back to the hunter.
After having a look at some previous applications, It seems I should outline how I play my class. Well honestly, I don't like locking myself into a rigid rotation, but rather have priorities as to what abilities I use when. This isn't really anything special and I don't think listing it here would tell you anything more about me, because its pretty much standard for most good hunters. b]Alts:[/b] I've got a big bouncy Brewmaster called Gweilo, who I've played very casually so far in the expansion, that's not to say I can't tank in a pinch, but I've always been better at DPS.
Professions:I have inscription, engineering (love my toys) and cooking all at 525, and it's a priority of mine to get them capped ASAP
Raid Experience: I started raiding in Ulduar, cleared everything on hardmode (cleaned up the last few towards the end of wrath) and it was easily my favorite raid so far, though ToT is competing pretty closely. I also cleared ICC, but I only really went through normal and a bit of HC. I didnt really raid at the beginning of Cata, but I got back into it from the start of Firelands and onwards. This expansion has come at a pretty bad time for me, as I've had to focus on my studying (and drinking :L) a fair bit this year, and WoW got put on the back burner. I have, however, been watching all the Tankspot videos as they came out; living vicariously and all that.
Previous Guilds:Honestly, its been over a year since I've been in a proper guild, and the names of my past guilds don't really come to mind easily.
Availability: Seeing as I'm free for summer now, I should be available quite a lot, because if I'm not out with my mates (which I'm not on your raid night's, I'll probably be playing some sort of game, which will probably be WoW.
Communication: I've got the regular channels of communication open, TS, skype etc. Got a working microphone and headphones so there should be no issues here.
Computer / Connection:Got an alienware laptop (cringe) as a gift, so its not really as easily upgradeable as i'd like, but I've no problems running WoW at all. Connections-wise, I never really have problems, so if I DC I've probably ragequit (kidding!) or something has actually broken.
Addons/UI: I have all the standard raid stuff: DBM, Omen, Recount etc. Also got my UI addons, and reforgelite (dont worry i set my own stat weighting)
Other Games: I play a fair bit of LoL, some other single player games, a bit of FPS, but they get a little boring after a while.
Why Iron Edge?I saw the words "25 man raid" in trade chat and almost jumped out of my chair with joy. Ok thats a little bit of an exaggeration, but I've seen so little 25 man action since I got back into WoW and I think it's kind of sad. Also, Safire seemed really nice, so if all your officers are like that, I think we'll get along splendidly.
What can I offer Iron Edge?This ones always the hardest for me, I think i can bring a good knowledge of my class, a good comprehension of tactics and just an overall willingness to learn. I may fuck up occasionally, but you wont find me making that same mistake again. Other than that, I'd like to think i'm a pleasant person to talk to, and I'm always up for helping out or getting stuck into anything that someones getting started.
Where did I hear about Iron Edge?I read your advertisement in trade chat, I came for the 25 man raiding, but I hope to stay for the community.
Last Words?
I'm aware that I'm not the best geared out there, but then again I only hit level cap on this character earlier this week. If anything, I'm dedicated to squeezing every last bit of potential out of my character, even if that means sitting at the dummies practicing instead of doing pet battles (im loving that addition to the game) I hope you guys give me a shot, I promise you won't be disappointed.
