Been playing WoW on and off since release, (first ever char was on Dunemaul )

Vanilla: Raided throughout up to Twin Emps in AQ40
TBC: PvPed most of the xpac

Legion: Got into Mythic raiding - World 604 on Argus (CE)
BfA: World 524 Ghuun (CE), went casual after Uldir due to work commitments and dabbled a bit with Classic, resubbed this week after a few months out.

Class/Spec:

Main frost / Fire mage. Don't mind playing either, but usually play whatever is FoTM (gearing for fire at the mo)

Alts:

Have 120 Monk + lock on Kazzak and 120 Priest/Rogue on old server (Quel Thas), mostly just use them for running alt keys.

Raiding/PVP Experience:

Legion:
Played with friends at beginning of the expansion (guild went from world 5100 on Xavius to 1400 on Argus - I was raidlead for Nighthold onwards)

At the end of Antorus started raiding with a more competitive guild on Kazzak which got world 600 on Argus (pre-nerf) and went back to help friends get their CE after empowered weapons made the fight way easier (they got world 1400)

BFA:
Raided in Valued on Kazzak. (https://www.wowprogress.com/guild/eu/kazzak/Valued/rating.tier22) We had really solid progress (World 524 Ghuun). However guild disbanded when GM went to hardcore guild and I didn't have time raid anymore. I started a new job which required me being on call - I've since quit that job (it was incredibly shite) so I have way more time to play again!

Valued - Kazzak - Guild disbanded after getting CE in Uldir

Currently working freelance. so free to play whenever i want.

PC is good (bought it to let me record progress on fights with a decent framerate)

Why Iron Edge?

Want to find a good community of players to raid with. My past two guilds were awesome but the majority of their players are no longer raiding or have gone ultra hardcore, so looking for a new guild that balances a good community with good raiding.

I've resubbed after a few months out now that my work situation lets me play again more frequently. With 8.3 on the horizon I wanted to get back toward raiding at heroic level where possible and maybe later look at Mythic - however with all the timegated reps / essence grinds etc i realise my char is currently nowhere near raid ready, so want to initially join as a social member to get to know people in the guild whilst running round Nazjatar

I see you are applying as a social member. We don't run alt raids or random pugs within the guild, since we have 3 active (2 on break atm though) raiding teams.

Thanks you for your interest for the ToT raid,

We raid on Wednesdays 20:30 - 23:30 server time and focus on heroic content, currently we are on a break til the next tier releases

From what you've said in your app I get the impression that mythic raiding is what you find most rewarding and within the guild each raid team requires commitment and cannot be used as stepping stones to others

With this in mind, like you have a said a social spot seems more right for you while you work on your character and figure out what type of raiding you'd like to do

Yes, I would like to get into mythic raiding later down the line so if there's no movement between the two teams then would it be better for me to reapply to the mythic team when my char is more suitably geared? I would rather do that than commit to the heroic team just to leave later, and waste peoples time

Hi Sjex!

I appreciate your desire to play with the mythic team, but you're going to have to prove your stability to us for a while first. I don't think it would be a bad idea to join another team for a while to do that.
