I'm a long time friend of Tyssar. We used to play togheter and he was pushing me to come back, so i said why not

My english is good enough to have a conversation with anybody, and i do enjoy to talk.
Also i've been watching your raid's streams for a while (keep going on the Sire, he's gonna go down soon )

I'm already on your discord and have played some HOTS with some of you (i do remember Moon, Stepan, Rash and Lethys, if i'm not wrong.)

Just came back to the game, used to be an active raider on Legion and in tier 1 BFA. In legion i was one of the first paladins to actively tank Illidan in the Gul'Dan fight, which I was proud of

Obviously my applications it's for the next tier of content. Also i'm aware you don't need tanks, but i really do not enjoy dps classes (even tho i'm trying some). So I do understand if you'd have to reject, no offence taken

Class/Spec:

I only play Prot. I can play Retri but it's no fun to me, as I used to only have tanks, even as alts.

Used to play mage in Cataclysm and Pandaria, not sure if I'm still capable.

Currently i'm 195 Ilvl and I started last week, done some M+ already, but the goal is to be on point on the next patch


Played quite a lot of Paladin, and as a prot I do really like to help healers, unless the fight is a dps check.

When not actively tanking i'm spending resources to help heal the main tank or those who are going through mechanical encounters which are required for the boss.

Also I do love all the tricks that paladins have to help in fights.

Alts:

Currently I do not have any alts. All my characters are Alliance on the Italian server where i used to play with Tyssar.


Professions:

Used to have Alch and Herbalism, which I'm levelling again. Just cause I'm used to them and to make my own flasks.

Raiding Experience:

I was tank and Raid Leader for the whole Emerald Nightmare, Nightwell, Tomb of Sargeras (I had to take a break halfway through) and Uldir.
Best ranking on a raid was 98 on Uldir

All of those we finished with Cutting Edge.

Previous Guilds:

I was in Lex Domini, which was disbanded 'cause Italians love to make drama (small server, big competitions). I did quit because they were asking too much attendance and I had just moved to my new home when Argus released. Came back for BFA, did Uldir but the problem was the same, so I left again.

I see the raid as something that should be fun. I do love winning fights and people doing things as they should be, but i don't think verbal violence is the solution and unfortunately that's what our old guild got to in the end.

Availability:

Always available during weekdays.
I do run dungeons and dragons once a week as a DM, but that's a fixed day in the week which I have power on.

Communication:

Yes to everything.

Computer / Connection:

No internet problems so far. Changing home next month but in Switzerland everything's kinda fast so I have no worries.

Addons/UI:

i've got DBM messages and cooldowns on the screen, puls left side is the raid frame, ordered by groups and colors for class, showing debuffs which i can interact with (i usually whitelist stuff i'm supposed to care about in raids, and then i have them change colors based on which kind of debuff players have.)

I'm running some LFR right now so i can try and find out what my interface still misses from good old days

Other Games:

LoL, Dungeons and Dragons, Heroes of the Storm, flavour of the months that Tyssar brings (and they usually suck)

Why Iron Edge?

Mainly because I've seen you are a nice group and I've had fun playing Hots with some of you.
Second of all, Tyssar plays there so it would be nice to have somebody I already know.



What can I offer Iron Edge?

If any of your tanks likes to DPS, I can offer you a tank who's always helpful during the raids and likes to be always informed on bosses and tacticts ahead of time.
I used to be fairly competitive, not anymore as my time is much less now, but i also liked to have a very high raider.io and M+ score on my old server

Where did I hear about Iron Edge?

Tyssar gave me a streaming of your raid, and I've played Hots with some of you before

As I told Tyssar, I do understand if you won't need me and I'm fine with a negative answer.
Unfortunately Retri isn't fun for me and finding a guild which needs tanks isn't easy, but I'm looking for a guild which can do good even without raiding 4 or 5 days a week.

Needless to say i vouch for him, i tried convincing him to go play dps to have some better chance to join since we have already 2 great tanks but i understand him wanting to tank, i know him really well and i know how much he love tanking. I played with him in Legion and at the start of BFA until our guild "Lex Domini" fell apart because of the usual bullshit guild drama. He was one of my officer (one of decent ones) and we stayed in contact even after i came here on Kazzak to play alone on my own but since we had pretty much the same interests we kept playing together to other things.
I never said this to him but hes one of the few people i know that im sure would be there if i needed him so i really trust him as player but most of all as a friend.
I told him to not have some great expectations if he was gonna apply as a tank but who knows, im just a raider like everyone else here so thats all i could do.

I need to warn you about one important thing: he fucking speaks alot, at least when hes with me, but im sure he won't be another podcaster ^{you know what i mean} during raid time   

Joking aside, hes good at playing and a good person, im sure he could be a nice addition to our raiding team.

BTW as Tyssar asked me today, and he was quite confused, rightly so, I forgot a key word in my application being "local" CFO, as the Emil Frey Group is actually made up of lot of different enterprises which are under the same holder (sounds strange but Switzerland it's made of really small states so you know, federalism..)

So yeah it sounded strange, I'm just the big boss of finance for my region, not the whole company (for now  )

Thanks for Applying. We've discussed the possibility of you having a trial for the main raid but as it stands we're not in a position where we would want a 3rd tank on the roster. It is a rare occurrence that our current tank roster is unavailable, and we have players with suitable off-specs to fill in should we need to.
We can offer you a social position if that appeals to you at all, however we understand if that's not something that would interest you. If anything changes I'm sure Tyssar can keep you informed if you do choose to go elsewhere. Let us know what you choose to do and we wish you all the best with whatever you decide.

Hey there,

Thanks for taking the time discussing it, as I previously said I had no expectations as it's common sense that finding place as tank isn't easy, there are only 2 places out of 20 and that doesn't bother me at all.

I do respect your decision, as I previously said to Tyssar I would have never wanted to force somebody to offspec just so I could play tank, so I am completely fine with that decision.

That said, I kindly reject the offer of a social position, that's just not me, which doesn't mean that I'm not available to play any M+ with you guys when the next patch comes, I'm sure it will happen through Tyssar, but I'd rather keep looking for the right match for me to raid a bit, than settling down in a social position.

I wish you best of luck in the next tiers and with the Sire, and, as you said, feel free to ask Tyssar about me if the need arises in the future.
