Personal Info:

I'm Daniel, 38 years old, grew up in Canada but moved to Norway back in 2010. I'm a Dermatologist, married, no kids but have a dog named Tokyo (British Staff bullterrier). I work on the west coast of Norway and in Oslo. I am in Oslo on even weeks monday-wednesday or monday-friday. I have my gaming laptop with me and a proper setup at home for when I am home. No issues with hardware or discord.
I have had some one and off periods with WoW, as has probably everyone. Started in 2010 with Cataclysm and found a great community. Had a break in mists because that was just strange, then came back in Legion at the end of the XP because I got all hyped by the BFA adds on tv. Since then no breaks, and have pretty much just devoted all my gaming time to WoW and not so many other games. I have done Mythic since then, and have had CE in Nyalotha, Nerubar and Undermine. Really close on Dimmensius, and had good progress otherwise before. Unfortunately, several of the guilds I have been in previously have fallen apart. Joined Budget Anomalous back in Amirdrassil. Its a good guild, but I feel like I dont really fit in there. There's a lot of vulgarisms, joking around, messing around, tremendous amount of noise during raids and especially pulls. Its all a bit chaotic. There has been some changes to raid leading and composition which has kind of made it worse. So I am looking for a new guild, where I can thrive a bit more. I am social, but it's nice to be a bit more concentrated on pulls when progressing. Need I say more?

Class/Spec:

I play either Frost og Arcane. I feel like the playstyle of fire has not really appealed to me since they introduced sun kings blessing mechanic...We will c what it brings to the table in the future. Arcane is nostalgic for me, and I like the burst. Frost is also a lot of fun.

I think that's a somewhat difficult question to answer, since it depends on the spec, the state of your gear and not just end-game stats. What I can say is that I keep myself up to date on my spec by following Manather, Forgy, Porom on SOME, Alter time on discord, reading up on wowhead. Sim raidbots, check youtube guides, POVs of fights, lorrgs.io for specific fights, mythic trap for TLDR, etc.

Alts:

No alts, everything is put into the mage.

Professions:

Tailoring and Enchanting since those bring the most to the table for a mage when it comes to gearing and crafting for myself and the guild.

Raiding Experience:

CE: Nyalotha, Nerubar, Undermine
Raiding mythic since BFA.

Previous Guilds:

Budget anomalous: Reasons stated above. Its mostly the atmosphere of a lot of memes - like way too many to be honest. Vulgarisms, racist jokes and just a lot og negging. They get the job done, but I feel like I want a more serious group and more concentrated.

Previous guilds before that: They all literally just broke up and fell to pieces....people got burned out towards the end of tiers, stopped showing up, stopped playing, some people then started leaving the guilds and everything just collapses.

Availability:

I don't do shifts/oncalls so I am available in the afternoons. My wife is very understanding when it comes to WoW and we adjust our schedule. I do travel though to Oslo every other sunday in the afternoon, and I am back on Wednesday or friday in the late evening so raiding on Wednesdays for example is an issue every other week (even weeks).

Communication:

No issues with english. Have discord, no mic and voice issues.

Computer / Connection:

No hardware issues. PC at home is always up to date. I have a Ryzen 9800X3d and RTX 5090. If that starts getting old I will upgrade.
On my gaming laptop its a new Lenovo Legion with a 5090.
No internet issues. 600 Mbit at home, and if theres internet issues in Oslo I have 5G - have not had issues.

Addons/UI:

Addons are obviously changing now with midnight, but have been on MRT, weakauras of course, northern sky raid tools. Have used Barts timeline abilities and progress tools. plater, rclootcouncil. I am on bigwigs now but have used DBM before.
I use a razer naga mouse and a razer tartarus while gaming WoW. For the keybinds and such.

Other Games:

Concentrate mostly on WoW to be honest. If I play other games, it's when there's nothing to do anymore in WoW and there's a break. D4, Overwatch, and single player story driven games.

Why Iron Edge?

I want a 2 day raiding guild that is mature, values one anothers time, that is interested in CE and knows that it's a group effort. I want an environment where everyone can thrive, be social, be able to chat, but also that helps one another.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

I can offer stability of showing up to raids on time, prepared to raid with pots and flaska and enchants. I can do all the mythics that are needed for vault, keep myself up to date with my gear so that I can do my job in raid and progress. I am a calmer individual, not aggressive, don't flame, and don't cause issues. I take criticism and welcome it. I want to get better, want to achieve CE, and help out the guild.
