Warlock application for B-Raid
« on: February 25, 2009, 02:08:50 am »
Hey, my name is Rói and Im a 19 year old macho male from the Faroe Islands. Atm i got a pretty booring job at a factory but it pays for the cigarettes and the booze and besides that i don't have any things to do beside to play WoW and cs 1.6! and just hanging out with my friends and having a good time.

I would like to apply to Iron Edge B-raid with my lvl 80 Undead Warlock named Rii.

My professions are Enchanting/Inscription (I leveled both to 400+ in 2 days so i could get the delicious shoulder enchant from inscription and the ring enchant!, im just taking it easy with leveling them further atm)

Atm I use a demo/destruction build in raids to try to do a decent amount of dps. But when Ulduar get's out i think I would try a more Affliction based spec.

I decided to re-roll a Warlock for Wotlk. The reason for this is that i got tired of playing my priest and wanted to try something else, and I always wanted to try out the Warlock class thus far i luv it ;D

My gear is decent i try to have the best enchants/gems that are available. Here is a link to my armory page, and you can take a look for yourselves: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&n=Rii

What I got of pre-TBC raids is full, ZG and AQ 20 MC, Onyxia and i got a shot at bwl killed the first boss. Of TBC experience I got Kara, Gruul, Magtheridon and ZA cleared, i cleared up to and got a taste of Lady Vashj in SCC and Kael'thas Sunstrider in TK with In Virtue.
When Wotlk hit i decided to lvl my lock to 80 and have him as my main. In Wotlk I have cleared Naxx 10/25 - man and done Sartharion both 10/25 - man and 10 man Malygos and ofc Voa 10/25 man.

Previous Guild(s)
Grab Me Tarzan, Pre BC, the guild fell apart after our gm Mazurru went afk for life, probably 1 of the best GM i have ever had, so far :) Good times though.

In Virtue, in Tbc. I was pleasantly surprised by the vast numbers of faroese players on dunemaul but in the people started slacking including me i had to quit raiding cause i had to pick up in school or get kicked wtf out.

Grót Hart. Another faroese guild, i joined GH shortly after i dinged 80 we raided 10 man naxx and later we merged with vanity so we could do some 25 man instances.

Vanity, was great at first and then people start slacking not turning up for raids, and even some officers been offline for days without saying a word, people going afk in the middle of the raids even the GM. Unorganized guild tbh.

I always read boss tactics and bring food/flasks/elixirs to every raid i attend. This is something I am used to do.

I can raid all the days that are required off me. I get home from work around 15.00 GMT and can mostly play all night long. Even though common sense tells me to log off and head of to bed at around 00.30 as I need to get up at 06.30 every morning. During the weekends i mostly hang out with my friends just enjoying life! Sundays I tend to play all day. If there is something keeping me from attending a raid i will inform you a few days in advance.

I got both Ventrilo and Teamspeak, my mic unfortunatley dosent work atm i smashed it in to the wall during a CS match (lol) nuff said. (will try to fix it as soon as i can) My connection is stabile and i have a new computer, so if i get dc it probably is an earthquake or something in that category.

The reason why I want to join Iron Edge is because it seems like a really awsome community/guild with cool and mature players, Im very deticated when it comes to raiding, I dont slack on buffs, flask etc, I want the best for myself and the guild so slacking on that is just stupid. And to mention it I'm not a dickhead running around looking like a retard infront of other people, I have decent social standards and wont put the guild in a bad light cause of stupid behavior.

Reasons why you should have me in the guild: I am a mature player and friendly with good understanding of my class even though my /played is on a shy 24 days, i spend alot of time reading on the forums about my class trying to stay informed. I do not mind wiping during progress or spend gold on consumables, it is all included in end game raiding whether you like it or not.

I would just thank you for taking your time to read my application, sorry if i bored you and my spelling probably sucks since i have been awake for 21 hours.

Any how let me know if i forgot to mention some things.

Best regards Rii

Thanks for the great application :)

You have good gear, and pretty good experience.

The decision is up to Grilldyret, as the B raid leader!

Very nice, well written application, sounds mature.

Decent enough gear, good experience.

It is now up to the great horned one, de-curser of the masses, Dr Grilly :P

Good luck.

Your gear and experience looks good, and you seem like a mature person!
Would like to trial you next week, another warlock would be good!

Good thing that you're prepared for some wiping with Ulduar coming up, as we probably won't be the fastest progressers :)
I'll leave you out in the cold for a couple of days, maybe someone can come up with some delicious drama for me (even though it seems unlikely!)

HERE COMES THE DRAMA, I R EVUL EX-GM!!!

... not

Actually he played a holy priest in my guild back in TBC and I can only recall good things about him, and it was hard for the guild to cope when our best priest couldn't raid due to school :)
