Protection Warrior for b-group

Hello fellow wow players. After some furious editting and planning, here is my application.


Personal Information:

My name is Sami, I'm 18 years old and I live in Finland.


Character:

Theel, level 80 undead warrior.

Spec:
15/5/51, pretty much your standard Protection spec.

Professions:
Mining 450 / Blacksmithing 450

Raiding:

I'm capable of raiding during the agreed raiding days. I also tend to read tactics to new content out of sheer curiosity.

TBC:
Karazhan, Zul'aman, after patch TK.
I didn't get much into raiding after starting WoW so late in TBC.

WotLK:
Naxxramas, Sartharion and Malygos cleared.
Downing Sartharion with 3 drakes up is something I'm looking up for.


WoW history:

I started tbc with trial account sometime after the BT patch. I leveled undead priest to 70 and was caught in endless cycle of pugging, not being able to join any decent raiding guild. Long story short, when WotLK came out, I started leveling warrior in need of a change to playing style.


Why do you want to join Iron Edge?

Piston Broke, the current guild I'm in doesn't have enough serious people which sometimes means that we have our appointed raids cancelled. Also people tend to come late or leave earlier which really affects our progress. When we tried to down Sartharion with drakes up, people stopped showing up for them, because they didn't want to come "wipe for all night".

Iron Edge has always been THE ultimate guild for me, grabbing realm first clears during the time I have been playing on this server. After getting invited to b-groups Sartharion Twilight Duo run, I was impressed by how easily it went down.


What can I offer to Iron Edge?

I offer you a social and active player who isn't afraid of progress. I can stand sartastic humor directed to me and throw some back right away. Hopefully you find this application worth reading.

Ignore post if <Piston Broke> is a very casual raiding guild.

Slightly concerned with the recent surge of ex-officers and members from <Piston Broke>. They seem to be leaving their guild due to a lack of progress, willingness to put in the effort (from other members) and 'hardcore' raiding. As such, I really hope they know what they are going into when they apply for the B-raid (though I do not doubt that Grilldyret has spanked them many times regarding this in their conversations).

You (talking collectivly, not you specifically) would be stepping down from hardcoreish raiders and officers to raiding two days a week, and at that mostly for fun and casualism rather than actual PPH. If you are uncomfortable with that you have a problem seeing as nagging for more hardcore raiding from the B-raid most likely will be unwelcome by the majority. Besides, I don't think the guild leadership is quite comfortable with the idea of two hardcore raiding teams (I may be far off here).

Anyway. You all seem to have very good english skills, you write quite nice applications, and replies have indicated that you have good gear (as I am too lazy to ceck that for myself).

tho as you migth know, we have 3 tanking warriors for the b-raid. and i cant see unless something big changes that you will be able to join as prot. dps migth be another possiblity or f&f with you being sponsered by sparrow.

I can understand your concern. I've been well informed about the b-raid group and how the things work around there. What the four of us are looking for isn't really hardcore raiding or power in the guild. Only that everyone is in same guild and preferably in the same raid group. Though if someone was asked to go raid in a-group, I have nothing against it.

i cant see unless something big changes that you will be able to join as prot. dps migth be another possiblity

Going dps isn't really a problem for me, but I must warn that my dps gear is much inferior to my tanking gear.

I've done some heroics with Theel at the start of Wotlk and in my opinion hes good at his class , so he got positive vote from me , rest is up to Grilly to decide if there is another spot for tank /dps warrior or not . Good luck .

Soon enough we will not see fury that often too.. fucking Blizzard and thier nerfs... (10% less physical dmg - titan grip).

As Tronz states, we do currently have 2 warrior tanks in the raid (and one TITANS GRIP ROAR)
But I heard they're working on "take the player, not the class"?

If things turn out with you as DPS, can I trust you to be psyched and high up top?

Seeing how Titan's Grip won't allow me to equip polearms, would PvE arms be a problem? I have no idea if it's much inferior to tg dps, but I prefer it more myself. And I could change to tg after acquiring some better weapons for it.

54/17/0 is what I would use, also logged out with dps gear.
