Played a game! To be frank though it felt pretty unresponsive to me, especially when it comes to last hitting. I felt very clumsy, even compared to in LoL. The shop is indeed quite painfully unintuitive too, here's hoping they overhaul it a bit. Also, the default keybindings for items being the numpad keys made me wtf a little.

Nevertheless, it looks pretty enough, and I'm looking forward to playing some games with IE very much.

Yeah the first thing you do is change the hotkeys...

As for the shop, what do you not like about it? It works pretty easy once you figure it out and you can search for items if you don't want to go through each tab.

Welp, I think you've described my problem with it again - having to 'figure it out' sort if suggests it has more of the nature of a puzzle about it than it should!

That's dota for you, they actually included animation quirks, so characters will have different shoot animations (not just the bullet).

Makes it a lot harder.

Im liking the game although i mainly just play sven! Bam!

I just find the UI to be utterly retarded and outdated. This is includes the shop and the way you buy things. Reaction to a click feels slower then in HoN but that might be imagination.

Can't wait for people to create mods for Dota2. I'm not playing it right now and won't be for a bit but the UI is simply too big, same goes for the minimap. I can control my mouse and sort of know where it's gonna end up and don't need such a large hitbox on the map.

I guess I'm the only one here who thinks the UI is completely fine?

after going 0-3 in losses with huskar i randomed him again.
i wasn't to confident though luckily i had my lucky charm (Tyler) with me and... well these are the results

allthough having 4 activateable items are a nightmare especially when 1 item doesn't stack with your burning spears
fun times when you are at like 20 hp and are hitting fast as fuck on anything to stay alive against enemies :P

I still really want a key if anyone has one. Haven't been able to catch up to one so far. And as though I do hate to ask, my other hopes on getting one have sailed the far reaches of the oceans. As my final and latest hope to get one, I'll try 'begging' for one!

SO PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. Every time I watch a joindota.com live stream or VoD I die a little inside wanting to play it SO bad.

So some friends and I decided to do some proper beta testing and I can now tell you guys that it is not safe to save more than 20k gold or spam couriers. If you die with ~20k gold you will stop receiving gold until you're down to a reasonable amount of gold and if you spam couriers (couple of hundreds in this case) the server will crash.

Thought I'd let you know.

Why don't you bind inventory, there is plenty available keybinds and it will help you a lot.

Since I'm using Legacy Hero Bindings I'm kinda limited so I'm using Space, Tab, Caps Lock etc. for inventory.

The UI doesn't look any bigger than SC2? Looks a bit thinner, even.
Now I run a tech website.

Having had a thunk about it, seems to me the main problem isn't exactly the size, but the inconsistancy in height of the bottom UI bits. The minimap especially sticking way out.
