Just finished playing, but I get the feeling they rushed to story at the end. Each chapters gets progressively less side quests. Also the pace of info/what happens in the main quest lines increase a lot.

Nice game to play, but I agree with grish.

thing is it feels like the game should go on for more then the chapters you had in the game

the worst gaming experience in my life.
The combats were hardly enjoying.
No QuickLoad button, thousand times of dying, waiting..

nice story is nice. But, gameplay should be far better.  Template animations during fatalities, boring ! Stupid idea i think..

I die a lot in this game and there's no quickload = bad game? I've not heard that said seriously before. Really though, the worst gaming experience of your life is the Witcher 2?

How spoiled do you have to be to get to this advanced a stage of lacking appreciation?

The game is not hard.  I'm playing it on hard and I die maybe once every few hours at most.  Hardest bit in the game I've gotten so far is the first boss, which took me 20 or so tries.

Tip: If you die, press escape quickly.  You can access the load game menu quicker than waiting for the 'reload last saved game' screen to appear.

Yes, the kayran.  Forgot about the assassin... is he before the Kayran?  He was easy at any rate.

did u really get that idea, from what u read. or are you just trolling ?
the game is bad because of a lot of issues. the game is not hard, what hard is, is  u don't get where the dragons breath is landing, u don't see how to dodge it. But if u die a lot of times, u learn by heart!
This is not clever, this is not entertaining.. i hardly found the game clever.
But as i mentioned, the story and storytelling is perfect. Which is good for a book, movie, comic.. But does not save a bad Game Design

I die all the fracking time as well, but I have no issues with this, I chalk it down to me being bad. From what I hear the combat gets easier in Act 2 and 3 due to having a lot more abilities/talents and stacking mutagens.

The Kayran fight did make me quite angry haha, took about 20 odd tries to do :-[

Well, the graphics were showing the point safe ! Which is also a lack in programming.

i let a friend play the game, who did like withcer 1 a lot. But he was in the same opinion...

bah, forget it..
i underestimated the fact that every game has his buyer.
sorry to point out the minuses.
