Lunadea the Boomkin

Who are you?
Greetings, my name is Joshua Crowder though my friends call me Josh. I'm twenty years old and currently studying programming at CTI, I also work part-time as an Assistant Manager at a local nightclub (a morning job so I got the afternoon and the night free for gaming!).

I'm a white South African male who hopes to move to Europe once I finish my studies (thanks to family who live in London), I love cold weather so Europe has always been a dream for me (and the government in South Africa is a nightmare).

Why do you want to join Iron Edge?
I've heard countless stories of how amazing Iron Edge is, my friends have bragged about it and I've had the chance to hang out with quite a few of you thanks to Starcraft 2 and had an absolute blast. I've hung around also on the teamspeak server with quite a few of you guys and honestly it's been amazing.

I have wanted to get into serious guild for quite some time now, I do of course hope to eventually sometime earn myself the privilege to raid with you guys, but until I earn that right I'd love to be able to just hang around with you guys more and maybe even do some dungeon runs with you guys.

Tell us about yourself as a gamer:
I'm mostly a strategy gamer (both real-time and turn-based) though then my taste in gaming branches out into anything with a good story and some RPG elements. The only games I dislike are generic-FPS, racing and sports games and I've even spent quite a numerous amount of time playing puzzle games (especially ones that are physics related).

I've played other MMO's such as: Maple Story, Gunbound, Warhammer Age of Reckoning and of course Runescape.

I've been playing WoW for about 2 years now, the first year I played I didn't have any friends and I didn't enjoy the experience all too much. I played a warlock and got him to max level and quit shortly after (not knowing what to do). A few years later my friend brings up the topic of WoW and I immediately get brought back into the game and proceeded to level a Death Knight, my Warlock (from 70-80), a Mage and now my Druid all to level 80 in a very short amount of time. Unfortunately my Death Knight and Warlock are on the server Kazzak but my Mage and Druid are here on Dunemaul and I might transfer my Warlock over if there is a good opportunity with him or for some reason he is needed.

I also used to be an addict to Warhammer Fantasy and still own a 5000 point force of Dark Elves. I've played Dungeons and Dragons, Mutants and Masterminds and a few other tabletop games (Cthulhu anyone?).

Why would our group become better if you were included in it?
I'm a quick learner and can follow instructions. These two qualities I think are the most valuable in terms of WoW, however I also hope to offer friendship and a good laugh every now and then. I'm also a good listener and love to hear any story. I've been told I'm a very fast leveler and this should be helpful as if I reach 85 quickly, hopefully I can assist in heroics or possibly a temporary missing slot.

Tell us about your WoW character:
Lunadea is a Troll Druid, I have always wanted a Druid as whenever I played games such as Neverwinter Nights or Dungeons and Dragons it would be the class I'd choose. However all my friends only play Horde and I wasn't ever much of a fan of the colors of the Tauren Druids (brown Moonkin... No thanks). When Cataclysm announced Trolls could be Druids I immediately decided that would be the class I would roll and become my main.

Lunadea isn't very old, only two weeks infact as I started her on the release of the Shattering and managed to get her to 80 just before the release of Cataclysm (fresh and ready to jump into Vashj'ir).

I plan to play as Balance spec as I've always been a huge fan of spellcasters, but I am also quite fond of occasionally healing if that is required of me and managing Druid HoTs has been a blast in the dungeons I've run.

Friends within the guild:
Imperfection: He is the one who got me to play on Dunemaul, all his talk of how amazing the server was and of course the legendary Iron Edge drew me towards this server like nothing before. Me and him were in a few classes together at CTI and I've enjoyed quite a few good WoW chats and stories together with him.

Lycanus: One of the first people to meet on the Team Speak server. Simply introduced as "another South African". We mostly became friends over playing team games on Starcraft 2, he has been greatly helpful to me and has often left me in fits of laughter.

Footmuch: The second person I first met, me and Footmunch have argued over the heat of Starcraft 2, but quickly got over that. We have shared a few laughs together, insulted Terran together and roflstomped some noobs on Starcraft 2. Often our "one more game" would end up being a lot more than just one more.

Kagemoth: Words cannot describe how hilerious this guy is, he has left me short of breath with laughter but he is not only one of the funniest people I've met but one of the wisest. I've quietly listened to his strategies in both Starcraft and with Priests in WoW. Honestly Kagemoth is a real inspiration to me, I really enjoy him speaking his mind.

I know others on the guild though I don't know if they would classify me as "friend" in return. I've chatted to Shiftey, Palmer, Starbrow and Kilizion. I've had great fun with all of you and I hope to join Iron Edge and have many more and even better times!

I'd love this guy in the guild...

Although he seems to be a bit out of touch with reality, as can be seen here. I sincerely question his sanity.

Insanity doesn't run in my family. Rather, it strolls through, taking its time, getting to know everyone personally.

Sad thing is this isn't the first time I've had my sanity questioned. My dungeon masters have always questioned my methods...... But you'd be surprised how many problems can be solved with the application of FIRE!  8)

Thank you everyone for the kind words ^^ I'm glad I can finally be apart of Iron Edge for reals! (not just pretend and play on your SC2 events).

Hope to have many, many fond memories with you guys!
