You're abit different tho, as i see. I work there http://www.nival.com/us/#!/us/games/pc-games/ and i have to deal only with art director/game designer(well, barely), i dont do any freelance so hard to say even, lol.
I barely even do any 2d atm, mostly just texturing, its way more fun imo lol ^^
