Personal Info:

My name is Henrik. I'm 26 years old and im currently studying Computer Science in Trondheim, Norway. On my free time, I like to play / watch sports, hang out with friends, watch movies / tv series. And also I really like to make nice food

Spec:

My main is Disc, Item level is 539. My shadow offspec would be 539 aswell, as I dont have any shadow specific gear. But I would not mind playing shadow, and if you wanted me in a shadowspec I would ofcourse work to gear myself as a SP.

Class:

For disc at my itemlevel now. I basically don't focus on intelect anymore, unless I need a gem of that color because the gem bonus is really nice.

And for the rest it is really easy to gem, basically just follow:

Crit > Mastery > Haste

The amount of spirit I use depends on fights, but it is usualy around 9-10k.


As I am a healer I do not really have a rotation either. It all depends on what kinds of incomming damage there is to heal up.

For the easy parts of the fight I just spam, Pennance > Solace > Smite. As the smart heals are good enough, and the extra damage is always nice. This is done while keeping rapture going and also having a Prayer of mending out.

I use Spirit Shell when there is predictable big incoming damage.

Prayer of Healing, binding heal, flash heal, greater heal and void shift are all used when the situation fits.

Cascade is usually my level 90 talent, and it is used as soon as I there are a decent amount of raid damage.

Alts:

490 paladin, and a level 42 monk that i plan on leveling to 90 in the near future.

Professions:

I got tailoring and enchanting. Tailoring because its a very nice proc for healers, the spirit proc goes off and is almost never wasted (except the first one). That allows me gem less spirit and more of the other stats. Enchanting is always a nice

Raid Experience:

In vanilla i got up to 4 horsemen in Naxx. TBC i only raided first tier. And then i stopped until MoP. Here I started in April, and I have killed 10/13 HC bosses (5% wipe on lei shen).

Previous Guilds:

Only listing Mop Guilds.

Medicated: Disbanded because both tanks left after killing Lei Shen normal.
Rock Paper Scissors: Not left yet, but I will when we are done with last ToT raid. Basically I want to raid 25 man raids instead of 10. And I do not like the raiding environment there, so I don't wanna do another Tier in that guild.

Availability:

Can make all raids in the foreseeable future. School year just started, and exams are in December, however I doubt they will make me miss raids. As 2 raids a week should just feel like a nice break from reading and not a burden on my schoolwork.

I will however lose around 2 weeks of raiding during Christmas, unless you want me raiding on a laptop that I can guarantee will lag

Computer / Connection:

I got no lag's while raiding on my PC. I got around 50-75 ms on Kazzak. I've only lived in my current place for 1 month, and during that time I have had 1 disconnect. And it was nothing a reboot did not fix. So it is hopefully a good connection

Addons/UI:

DBM: Cause timers are nice
Grid2: Nice and configurable raid bars, which of course is very vital for a healer.
Weakauras: To remind me and give me information about when I can use my spells. Sometimes I use boss specific weakauras.
Skada: Nice to analyze certain healing abilities.
Gnosis: Just a better casting bar imo.

I of course also use other addons, but they don't really matter to much while raiding.

c: Level 90 talent macro
v: Prayer of Healing

Why Iron Edge?

The biggest reason is that I want to get back to 25 man raiding, as I feel 10 man is not that epic. And your raidtimes also fitted me nicely.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

A close to 100% attendance raider, which shows on time and prepared. If it is a progression fight I usually try to find at least one tactic video, and one spec specific video to watch. I also try to search forums for fight specific tips, as you sometimes can learn about a clever use of a glyph / abilities or other cool stuff for certain boss fight. One example being the lightning adds on Lei Shen can be locked down with Void tendrils.

I heard you already had a few disc priests. So if I wont get accepted I understand, but I do hope you give me a chance. And if I get one I will make sure to not disappoint you guys

We have one disc currently, being me - and i hate playing with 2, which is unfortunate because your app is fantastic, although its not completely down to me, i'll see what our other priests think. I would love to get you in as shadow though, i have a thing for scandy's called Henrik anyway.

Also we're pretty relaxed (for lack of a better word) in our progression compaired to yours this last tier - we only raid 2 days a week.

Is a more casual schedule okay for you?

I know what you mean about multiple discs, I did heal with double disc a few times in 10 man, and that was frustrating to say the least. I will be willing to play any spec, just keep in mind that I'm by far best with disc. And if I play something else I would have a small adaption period. I'll do my best to keep it as short as possible tho

As for the "casual" schedule I will have no problems with that, I raided 1 day a week when doing normal mode, then two days a week when doing heroics. I would only consider guilds that do 2 or 3 raids a week anyway.

Cool, pretty much the answer i was hoping for, i'll let the other guys comment, i'm sure you would get to play your disc spec at some points. As long as you would be happy being shadow and it didn't annoy you not being able to play disc then that's all that concerns me. Wouldn't want you not to be having fun since that's what we play for, right?

Although I cannot really say anything about the disc part (8 years of holy, would be like commenting on Rogue/Warrior applications with my disc knowledge), I will comment with my priestly mind anyway.
Firstly 2 points: Scandinavians always +1, vanilla 4HM raider +100(or +max).

Now, we do have a lot of healers right now, so would you have a problem not being able to raid every time seeing as we probably need to rotate some during SoO? Also would lack of early-HM progression be a problem? (Going from the previous tiers' progress, HMs would take a while to reach).

Everything else looks perfect though, good application and you seems like a friendly sir. We need more people to the 25man-cause, the only real raiding experience
