Hello, Iron Edge!
I am applying for the main raid.
Character: Trollmannen
Server: Khadgar
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Khadgar/Trollmannen/advancedClass/Spec: Mage (DPS)
Member Type: raider
Personal Info:Yo! Name is Chris, I'm a 21 year old norwegian man currently living in the city of Bergen. I'm quite social, helpful and a bit nerdy. I'm a gamer, I play loads of different games but my main game has always and always will be the magnifizent World of Warcraft. On my spare time I practise fitness, snowboard, communicate with a few friends (We are trying to start a company), which is quite exiting. Social events, girls, partying and so on.
Class/Spec:Currently I'm fire/arcane. I've been reading about frost for 6.2, but unfortunately I haven't been able to properly test it in a raiding environment (Something I'd like to do in the future). My item level in arcane is 693, and 690 in fire.
I currently main Fire, mostly due to the fights in BRF/explosive playstyle which is one of the most fun aspects of being a mage. Don't be mistaken, I play Arcane just as well as fire.
Been activly researching/practising both speccs the entire duration of WoD.
Fire: MASTERY-crit-haste-multistrike-Versatility.
Arcane: MASTERY-haste-multistrike-crit-Versatility.
Fire is all about the ignite. For 4-set bonus (6.1), after using the procc (Pyroblast!), I use Inferno Blast to spread the humongous ignite before applying Combustion and spreading that. That results in insane DoT damage from the mastery stat. The rest of the rotation is obviously keeping living bomb active, and using Fireball and Pyroblast! simultaneously when you have the Pyroblast procc AND heating-up procc active.
And last I'll share my knowledge about arcane. Fights like Gruul/Hans/Franz in BRF, made me really fall in love with arcane. Obviously, I'm a mage right and they are OP by nature. But I did top the meters for every single encounter my old guild had with those bosses. Keeping 100% mana is key. And not using the Arcane Power glyph makes your PC & AP line up perfectly for burst every 1,5min. Which is quite good if you need to lay out some extra damage for your team, then you'll definitely be able to. For my rotation (Burst) AB/missile until 4 stacks, AP & PC, double Supernova, AB and missiles with trying to keep my mana high (Switching inbetween depepending on proccs), and finally Presence of Mind at the end of PC to squeeze that extra Arcane Blast in. Then I use evocation and enter the conserve phase, which is just keeping your mana high until your CD's are ready again. I also keep my eyes on Supernova to make sure the charges are ready the second PC is off CD so I can use them before using Arcane blast again to increase damage (mana is high before AB spam).
My tier abilites are as followed:
Fire:
Tier 1: Ice Flows
Tier 2: Ice Barrier (I know many use Flameglow but it's mainly a comfortpick).
Tier 3: Ring of Frost (Does it matter?

)
Tier 4: Greater Invisibility, I absolutely love the cheese this ability offers.
Tier 5: Living bomb for multitarget and Blast wave for pure singletarget.
Tier 6: Rune of Power/ Incanters Flow. I do like Incanters Flow best in fire, but it can be tricky at times to line up 4-set procc while you have 20% damage increase. Rune of power is for low-movement.
Tier 7: For pure single target, PC is awesome. But I prefer Kindling in most situations (AoE for instance).
For Arcane:
Tier 1: Ice Flows
Tier 2: Ice Barrier
Tier 3: Ring of Frost
Tier 4: Greater Invisibility.
Tier 5: Supernova, always and forever.
Tier 6: Rune of Power/Incanter's Flow, since it's easier to line up burst in arcane than with fire while using Incanter's I usually go with this talent.
Tier 7: PC.
Alts:Monkechris, lvl 100 monk. 690 ilvl. Just because everybody should have a monk in this x-pack
Professions:Engineering/Taloring. Chose them both in MoP, and they sort of grew on me.
I can make Jeeves, that's pretty awesome.
Engineering is obviously EPIC due to the Nitro Boots and Glinder. Just like having them around.
Raiding Experience:My first raid ever was Karazhan. And oh boy was that epic. Fell in love with PvE every since. Back then I was a holy/disc priest, with 11/12 25HC in Icecrown Citadel.
I made my mage in late WOTLK (post-nerf ICC), and it's been my main ever since.
Did BoT, BWD and To4W on (HC) difficulties with 4 mythic kills in BoT, 1 in To4W, and 3 in BWD. I skipped Firelands, but managed to kill Ragnaros pre-nerf. (HC difficulty)
Did (HC) Dragon Soul and went on a break after that patch. Came back when Throne of Thunder was current content, killed Lei-Shen(hc) just before Siege of Orgrimmar launched. Did 14/14HC, and 6/14M, before my guild at the time made of an IRL friends group went on a break.
I've spoken to some of my mythic raiding friends, and they told me to add the fact that I've been leading my own guild since day 1 in WoD. Was the RL of our guild (Me and 10 other mates started it), and we completed Highmaul on HC and did 2/7M with me Raid Leading. I'm not the guy to talk crap about others, but mainly the reason we did't progress any further was due to lack of skills with many members. Played on Khadgar-EU which has only 1 major raiding guild and is quite low on experienced raiders. In BRF We managed to clear HC, but due to only me and 3 other dps reaching 60k + dps on Beastlord we failed to kill it and our guild went on a break until 6.2
So I'm back and no way I'm Raid Leading any more, it takes quite the toll to raid lead and I'd rather enjoy my time raiding being a solid raider with good damage that you can count on.
Previous Guilds:"Gladius Mortis" Was the name of our guild on Khadgar-EU. Most of my friends scattered across servers and I decided to come back to Kazzak where I was playing for a couple of years before WoD.
Availability:I'm available all evenings. Not going on vacation this summer since I need to study and I have a few projects around the neighborhood that I am payed to do. So your hours suits me just fine, and I will definitely be online during the "off-nights" and such to socialise and have fun with the guild. That's how I like my guildies to know me.
Communication:I use TS3 on a daily basis, working microphone and everything. And even though I am Norwegian, my english level is equivalent to that of an english person.
Computer / Connection:Asus G550, it's 2 years old but works like a charm. Graphics on ulta with 60fps + during raids.
Stable 30ish ping. No lag.
Addons/UI:Bigwigs/littlewigs
Forte Xorcist 2 (the whole pack).
Weak Auras 2 (the whole pack).
Skada and Recount
I use ElvUI
oRA3 (mainly for raidleading, but I do use it during raids none the less).
Other Games:Hearthstone, Diablo, Dota2, Heroes of the Storm
RUNEESCAPE HYPE?
Why Iron Edge?I applied to this guild as a PvPer before SoO was released and did some RBGs until like 1900 rating.
I actually remember doing 3's with Rashkebab's shaman and another warrior with my hunter. You guys were just having fun, but as we climbed to nearly 2k I actually became exited.
What can I offer Iron Edge?Personally: A chatty individual who stays up to date on the things ingame that matters to me (raiding content, my class, garrison stuff and more), I like to help ingame and I'm overall a funny guy I believe.
As a raider: A player who stays true to his class, I wont come around saying I have this 650 druid I want you to put into your raids. I always stay up to date on my class using both Top lvl players (Method), methodwow guides, icyveins, and more. And I use Simulationcraft on a daily basis, keeping track of small details and such about my class. I like to raid and I enjoy killing bosses. I will contribute in every way possible to make this a reality for myself and my raiding partners. That's how I like to come across to other players, and I do my best to keep all my good qualities to best assist the guild/players.
Where did I hear about Iron Edge?I came with Prostylo and Aniar when I applied and from them I first got to know your guild. Once I came back and saw my hunter was still in the guild, obviously my first thought was that I need to get into the action and hopefully you guys see me fit as a member of your raiding team.
Last Words? If you accept me or not, I hope this application helps for you lads to get to know me better. I'm gonna be playing on Kazzak from this day foward, and hopefully I'll get to know you guys better as well within the guild
