Hello, Iron Edge!
I am applying for the main raid.
Character: Torm
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Kazzak/Torm/advancedClass/Spec: Shaman (DPS)
Member Type: raider
Personal Info:Hi, my name is Tomáลก Novotný, Im from Czech Republic (north of Prague). I'm 26 years old and I'm just finishing my thesis so hopefully soon I'll be done with my higher education. Outside of that I'm big fan of gaming, only WoW I have played more more than decade.
Class/Spec:My main spec is Elemental DPS. I try to keep my Resto spec relevant as well but it's not my main focus as I have very limited expirience as a healer in raids and I would have to learn and practice a lot to be capable (though I'm not shy of it, but if you wanna try that out, don't test me on progress fights, maybe something on farm).
Considering my Ele spec I'm pretty much set to perform as best as possible. Outside of new legendary that was released with 7.2.5 which is sadly the BIS I have good legendaries to be relevant on all fights. I'm half-way though of upgrading my 2nd legendary atm.
Considering Elemental Shaman I have been playing this spec since TBC. It changed many times but the fundementals remains the same. Goal is as always cast as many Lava Burst as possible. This time with a little twist of casting as many Elemental Blasts as possible as well while not overcapping on Maelstorm. That's the basic idea. Stat priority depends on the build you are playing. Most of the time there are 2 viable builds - Ascendance (Asc) and Lightning Rod (LR), Icefury build is somewhat competetive and would be viable on heavy movement fights but I don't believe it will be viable in a long run (as our gear improves it will start falling behind again as there are no traits in our weapon or any other synergies with frost damage).
Good thing is that Asc and LR builds both fallow very similar stat priority. Very simply said you want to keep the stats in order of Crit = Mastery > Versatility > Haste, altough you should keep them in certain ration (usually you wnat to have about 60% versatility and 35% haste of what you have crit/mastery). And ofc you don't wanna every reach 100% mastery as it is a hard cap (which is even lower if you take certain talents like Elemental Blast of Totemic Mastery).
There is not much of a rotation more like priority system as most of the classes lately. As mentioned you want to cast as many Lava Bursts (LvB) and Elemental Blasts (EB) as possible. You want to keep as many targets as possible flame shocked (altough at about 4+ targets you start spamming Chain Lighting only). Then EB has priority over LvB. You should never overcap on Maelstorm so you dump some with refreshing Flame Shock or just use Earth Shock when you reach 117 or more (111 if you have LvB available). Then you just fill the rest with Lightning Bolts.
Considering cooldowns Fire Elemental should be used as many times as possible. So usually on the pull with Lust, pots etc. Later on it should be used paired with 2nd pot and some other CDs (or later Lust). With T20 set bonus which should allow us to cast Fire Ele more often we will see. But the rule is usually not to delay it too much so you loose a use of it thought the fight.
Storm Keeper is very nice nuke which was missing to Shamans during HFC where we struggled with it hugely. Though it usualy should be saved if possible to use it on adds as paired with Static Overload trait on our weapon it can do devastating damage.
And mentioning Legendaries, very good combination is the new Gloves with Boots (also using Aftershock talent) called a casino build, where you want to cast Earth Shock much sooner (about 77 Maelstorm) and have in theory higher uptime on the gloves proc. This build should currently outperform every other build, but the damage variance is high so I would not recommend it for progression fights where you want to minimise the RNG. In that case I would go with Eye of the Twisting Nether ring with Helmet (Belt would be better, sadly I still don't own it).
Alts:I have a Frost Mage and a Protection Paladin on max level, though they are not too relevant as they are not progress ready. My mage could be used for something on Normal difficulty I guess but as I lack all the major legendaries I wouldn't recommend it.
Mage:

https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/kazzak/siow%c3%a9nProfessions:I have Enchanting and Engineering on my shaman. I have most of the usefull recipes, mostly mounts and so on. Enchanting has most of the recipes on 3 stars except few, but I don't think its very relevant these days.
Raiding Experience:DISCLAIMER: All the progress is written as it was done before release of next major patch. It's all 25-man. 10-mans were always cleared on time. Each expansion was cleared fully before release of next one.
TBC:
Kara + SSC + TK: Cleared with casual guild after BT was released.
Hyjal + BT: Cleared after SWP was released.
SWP: 2/6 cleared before nerfs, Kil'Jaeden killed before WoTLK release (was even Realm 1st).
WotLK:
Naxx: 15/15 cleared (Realm 1st).
EoE: 1/1.
OS: 1/1 (with 3 drakes).
Ulduar: 13/14 cleared before TotGC release. Hard modes up to Firefighter. Later on achieved Death's Demise (Realm 1st Yogg+0).
TotGC: Cleared on Heroic with 49 attempts left (world rank 722).
ICC: 11/12 HC cleared before nerfs, 12/12 after nerfs.
RS: 1/1 (world rank 535).
Cataclysm:
BoT: 1/5 Heroic.
BWD: 4/6 Heroic.
To4W: 1/1 Normal.
Firelands: 6/7 Heroic.
DS: 8/8 Heroic (world rank 226).
MoP:
MSV: 6/6 Heroic (world rank 205).
HoF 6/6 Heroic (world rank 217).
TotES: 3/4 Heroic.
ToT: 12/13 Heroic cleared (Never killed Lei-Shen when he was relevant, was trial and got benched due to the need of more warlocks, killed Ra-den though).
SoO: 14/14 Heroic (world rank 117).
WoD:
Highmaul: 6/7 Heroic (guild managed to kill Imperator only once, didn't get spot).
BRF: 9/10 Heroic (same story, Blackhand died only once before next patch, I wasn't part of the BH progress group sadly).
HFC: 13/13 Heroic (world rank 293)
Legion:
Casual approach. Guild disbanded when I took break so I had nowhere to return. So I was mostly pugging though EN, ToV and NH. Managed to clear HC everywhere ofc.
ToS: 9/9 Normal and 3/9 HC cleared so far. "Progressing" with few friends through pugs.
Previous Guilds:I was part of many guilds but I would mention the major ones.
TBC:
- Devotion: My first raiding guild. We cleared together SWP, Naxx, part of Ulduar. Then GM left the game and abusive officer took over. I left the guild for a better one where I made few friends meanwhile.
- Damnation: Been raiding mainly ICC with them. Sadly LK HC killed the guild (we wanted to move guild to more populated realm [we were playing on Steamwheedle Cartel, RP server, bad recruitment], but couln't agree to which one). I joined few other guilds afterwards but we managed to get the 10-man team together afterwards with few of those who stayed. Later on we moved to Kazzak.
- Ember: First serious guild I joined on Kazzak. We progressed Firelands HC together. Then the GM left to play Star Wars: The Old Republic and guild fell apart.
- Despair: First 'hardcore' guild I joined. Managed to do very well in Dragon Soul. After several breaks after progression, too few people returned to raid in MoP. We disbanded soon during ToT progression.
- Vanguard: I joined after ToT progession was done. I was part of their alt runs with my alt (it was my shaman at that time as I was asked to tank on my warrior as we didn't have any other tank). I joined with my shaman as my main. We did amazing job in SoO. Sadly due to studying break I had to take, I couldn't farm enough gold with sell runs and was behind on buying BoEs in WoD. I wasn't given a spot after the cut down from 25 to 20-man raiding.
- Perfect Circle EU: Guild I joined during Highmaul progression. I had rough start but managed to get my stable spot. After HFC progress was done and before release of Legion I decided to take my Exchange study program and move for one semester to Estonia where I studied. I returned this January back to find out that guild disbanded. Since then I was casual and social in few guilds. I recently returned to Vanguard where we do some social runs with few friends. But it's nothing serious or organized.
Availability:Basically I'm available all the time atm. I study during the day and nights I have free. I'm able to schedule my life around WoW. Only thing I can say is that most of the times I'm not available to raid on Sundays evening as me and few friends we are playing D&D. Also I would prefer not to do any raids on Tuesday evening, as I'm going to gym at that time. Basically Mondays and Thursdays fits me very well and it is one of the reasons I would love to join your guild. Also would you consider not having girlfriend a bonus?
Communication:Im proficient in English. I have Teamspeak 3 (amongst many other like Discord, Ventrilo or Mumble). I have headphones so I can listen and I have mic and I can and know how to use it

(I own Corsair Void Wireless headset, it's very good, I recommend [visiting fridge while still being able to talk with the buddies]).
Computer / Connection:I have a decent computer (specs:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dpWr8K). During the most stressed out situation I may drop to 10 FPS for few sec, but otherwise I'm able to stay at stable 25+. It's not perfect but it's enough. I plan to upgrade to Ryzen CPU asap (big fan of those).
Internet connection is usually without any problems. Maintanance is usually done after midnight so even if I get cut off by provider it will be after the raid. Ping is generally around 40-43 ms.
Addons/UI:ElvUI: Clean UI.
WeakAuras: Well because they are amazing and I can put any warning, any notification, any debuff, any cooldown on my screen where I need it. I love this addon.
Angry Assignments: We used to use this addon to send notes and have groups set up for fights. Depends on what guild is using, if they trust their players to remember stuff (like who soaks 3rd explosion or so).
BigWigs: I prefer it over DBM. I like its Emphesize feature (which DBM doesn't have or didn't have for very long time).
Exorsus Raid Tools: It used to have some nice tricks in there, I don't use it lately. But I keep it relevant in case they add some nice feature again.
Skada: for the damage whoring. I mean to check why I died if I don't know. To see what kind of damage I'm taking and how to limit it. To see if raid is taking way too much damage from some mechanics.
Simulationcraft: Simple import of my character into SimCraft.
And then many many small addons which are not relevant to the Raiding (Like TomTom, LittleBuddha, WorldQuest Group Finder/Tracker, SaySapped, RSA, RCLootCouncil, Postal, Immersion, HandyNotes, GottaGoFast, Garrison Mission Manager, EasyDeleteConfirm, Classic Quest Log, DejaCharacterStats, Bonus Roll Preview, ArtifactPowerUsed, AutoLootPlus, Advanced Interface Options, etc.)
Other Games:Not many lately. But I guess I would mention other Blizz games like Hearthstone, Diablo 3, Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch (no I don't own and play StarCraft, altough I like the RTS genre of games).
Outside of that I sometimes play new Doom (still have to finish it), DotA2 (I play casually, a game a day maybe?). Played a bit of Mass Effect Andromeda lately (but usually Open World RPGs gets boring after a while, it's too much of a time sink and I already play WoW) and here and there other games. Mostly Single Player ones.
Why Iron Edge?I have been raiding always since TBC and now I have been casual for far too long already. I would like to be part of a raiding team again, of team of dedicated players who aim to clear the content, to conquest, to raid! Also I really like your attitude, meaning that you raid only 2 times a week (which suits me perfectly) and you still manage to keep relevant progress. Also according to the WoWProgress you might be interested in another Elemental Shaman (god knows why

)
What can I offer Iron Edge?Highly dedicated player with a very long history of PVE achievements. I strive to perfect. I never miss a raid unless there is something of huge importance (cat on fire, I mean house). I'm dependable. You won't regret accepting me!
