Raider Application - Druid (DPS) - Oddsocks
« on: January 24, 2020, 12:03:28 am »
Hello, Iron Edge!

I am applying for the main raid.

Character: Oddsocks
Armory: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/Kazzak/Oddsocks
Class/Spec: Druid (DPS)
Member Type: Raider

Personal Info:

Name: Kern Lasocki
Age: 26
Location: Scotland
Work: Submarine Weapons Engineer
About myself: I'm married with 2 daughters, play WoW and other games in my spare time and enjoy all sorts of sport/exercise.

Class/Spec:

I can play either Boomie/Resto, however, I would prefer to play DPS this patch.
My ilvl is 445eqp Boomie/446 Resto with a Neck level of 73. My legendary cloak is rank 6 and will be rank 7 by the end of this weekly reset.

Boomkin is a priority-based DPS. For example, you have to ensure empowerments and correct usage of astral power is paramount to achieve a decent baseline DPS. Of course making sure you have the correct Azerite traits are also a massive part of Boomkin, 1 Arcanic Pulsar, and 3x Streaking stars are pretty much mandatory.
With stats haste is priority, however, using raid bots to check stat weights for different encounters etc is essential.

Alts:

I've got a Mage, Hunter, DH, Paladin & Monk at 120.
Mage is at a suitable gear/ap level.

Professions:

I have Alchemy/Engineering. Currently working towards the new 8.3 trinket and helm.

Raiding Experience:

I've got cutting edge raiding experience from Legion. I used to raid with <Rock Paper Scissors> before they became <Pull ten> I raided with them for a while, however, I had to leave due to going away on patrol with work and having to miss a good few months of sunlight xD haha
Since then, with work and IRL being the priority I've been on and off raiding. Although, I've been given a much more stable draft for the next few years and I am hoping to get back into raiding again.

Previous Guilds:

Rock Paper Scissors: I left because they disbanded.
Pull Ten: Had to leave because, of work.
Product: Helped a friend run a guild to try raid leading for a time, but, with numbers already low the launch of WoW: Classic ended that.
Utopian Nightmare: A very difficult group to raid with, poor attitudes and not great leadership. So I left after one of the raids after seeing enough.

Availability:

I can raid most evening, prioritizing weekdays. Although, being in the military my work can be demanding at times and can recall me at any moment.

Communication:

I speak English and I do have TS3/Discord and I can listen + Talk with a mic.

Computer / Connection:

I've got a stable internet connection and a good enough rig to play WoW.

Addons/UI:

Bartender4 - Bar customization
Bigwigs - Boss Mechanics
Details - Analyse damage/healing outputs and boss encounters
GTFO - To make sure I don't stand in Fire.
Moveanything - UI customization
Simulationcraft - Character Analysis
Weakauras 2 - Raid notifications, class improvement.

Other Games:

CoD: Modern Warfare
Witcher 3

Why Iron Edge?

You look like a well-established guild with a very nice history of raid accomplishments. This is exactly what I'm looking for and wanting to help progress.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

I've got experience with mythic progression raiding. So the endless nights of progression on one boss doesn't bother me.
I'm disciplined so I always ensure I turn up to raids on time and prepped with pots/flasks/food etc.

Where did I hear about Iron Edge?

I saw you were recruiting within the guild finder tool in-game and then investigated further.

Last Words?

I know my logs aren't amazing for the last few patches, however, a chance to prove myself a capable player to a mythic raiding team is all I ask for.

Hiyo Oddsocks,

I like your application, and I would like to give you an opportunity to show how you would fare in our raiding environment. You can poke me or any other officer in-game for an invite  :D

Also check out this thread for any information in regards to raiding with us.
