I am applying for the main raid.

Personal Info:

My name is Joeri aka Ronanz, 29 years of age.
Located in the best part of Belgium.
I work as a Data Specialist and love my theorycrafting.
I've been playing this game since the European beta all the way back in 2004.

Class/Spec:

Currently playing Outlaw due to not actively raiding and focusing on M+ in 8.3 (which I'd like to change obviously)
Play pretty much any spec that's "meta" given that I have the gear for it (missing double dose trait for assassination for example on 2 azerite pieces).


I'd like to think I understand my class well enough to perform with all the information readily available out there.
I like to keep up to date on all specs through the Ravenholdt (rogue specific) discord.
I sim my gear to check upgrades but roughly it's Crit>Vers>Rest.


Alts:

Have several 120 (Monk, Paladin, Druid, DK) but none really "relevant" as they're far behind in essences/cloak (thx Blizz)

Professions:

Alchemy/Herbalism, nothing special

Raiding Experience:

I've been a raider ever since this game started, having done most of the content this game has to offer on a high level and on a multitude of classes and specs (Both healing and DPS'ing, tanking only on Alt Raids) since release up until around the end of Pandaria era. Due to real life obligations (I'm a father now raiding was put down to a way more casual level. Doing content where ever I could do it with ex-raiders/friends.

At the height of my raiding career we were ranked 69th in the World during Cataclysm era:

Continueing that trend for another tier with another guild for the end of Cataclysm era.

BFA I raided mainly casually with "Once Again", the guild I'm still in.
Clearing heroic and mythic where possible but not as a "progress" raider.

Now that life is more kind (daughter's older etc) I'd like to pick up the slack and continue progress raiding.

Previous Guilds:

My RL friends guild back on Runetotem (Alliance) which I raided with casually during Legion for pretty much the entirety of the expansion. Most of my friends there quit playing.

Once Again.
Some RL friends joined here (and then quit again), invited me as a social and worked my way up as a sort of "backup" raider, can't offer me a "full time" raiding spot though.

Availability:

Available outside of working hours 09.00-18.00 and weekends.
I tend to do stuff in my weekends though.
Nothing major planned in the near future.

Communication:

Yes, yes and yes.

Computer / Connection:

Top of the line PC, good ol' Belgian internet and no issues.
~30 ms
I do not lag (outside of the Epic BGs that everyone suffers from) and rarely disconnect.

Addons/UI:

For raiding I mainly rely on WeakAuras and BigWigs

Why Iron Edge?

You guys still share similar goals to mine. Clearing content in a serious manner while still allowing your life to take place. You're all a part of a guild as friends and not randoms. I was once accepted for Iron Edge but due to you guys being mid progress on Antorus I didn't get a chance to show up/off really and the trial sort of never happened.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

A really capable player with a good understanding of a multitude of classes that always brings his A game and isn't afraid of wiping on bosses relentlessly.
A smart person with a keen sense of humor that enjoys a good bit of banter.

Where did I hear about Iron Edge?

Thanks for applying. We currently have 2 rogues on the roster with another as a trial so with you that would make 4 rogues. Luckily I value rogues quite highly so the prospect of having 4 rogues on the roster is okay with me.
I like the application and if you're okay with the rogue competition (and if I haven't left this decision too late), I'd like to offer you a trial.
