Ahem...

Well where to begin?  Never done anything like this before, never had to...hope it's not too horrible an application.

Guess Ill start with my name, its a good place to start.   My name is Crystal I live in Long Eaton which is halfway between Nottingham and Derby in the UK, and Im orginally from Canada - so I guess you could say I am culturally confused!  I am a scientist specialising in microbiology (at Uni I wanted to know how to make my own beer) and have recently moved from industry into acedemia.  Had my 30th in January and went to Soho, which was wicked. I have my own hair, but it is ginger:(

Gaming history...well I blame my BF at the time for this.  He used to abandon me to play all kinds of games, magic cards, warhammer, starwars galaxies...I used to feed him but id be so bored out of my tits.  Anyway saying goes if you cant beat them join them doesnt it?  So I tried this beta for a game called everquest, I really liked it and went out and bought the game.  So did he, thing is I got really good, then I got better than him...which kinda pissed him off.  He stopped playing EQ and played normal games on our playstation, and then we went to a LAN arena event where I saw this new game that was about to come out...called world of warcraft.  This was ever so shiny, SHINY!  Besides it was this or dance dance revolution or counterstrike.

When I first tried wow there no one had reached level 60 and i remember the first guys who got it!  There was just 2 continents, and no battlegrounds or arenas.  As you can tell I am a very old character, which hopefully will go in my favour as 1 or 2 of you may put up your hands and say you remember me.  Due to this I favour the old ways, and use PvP to defend either honour or pride - but if im honest im a pve kinda lass and love any opportunities I get to raid.  I only have 1 character, my main - the original bonafide one. I love my warlock - so why change something that works well? Here is my profile:

Why do I want to join IE?  Well to answer this I have to answer another question too.  I have only ever been in 2 guilds.  One I was GL of called "the hive", this was a low level guild which was made for fun not to raid.  Had people in it like liquidragonx (I know shes not been in your guild but she was a awesome person to me) which I split up as people were getting older and wanted to raid and do thier own things, we stayed all good mates.  The second was shadowblood (the name has changed but the people in the guild has remained the same) this has had its ups and downs but I am loyal to my guilds.  As people left the game or moved server my friends list went down (not because im horrible - just I am picky who is my friend) including lquidragonx...so there are very few people left I have that are still my mates around.  I want to join somewhere where I feel welcome and people can  appreciate my awful sense of humour:D  Shannaro said to try an application and say Ive known him since vanilla (which apparently means before TBC lol).  That is all I really want from you guild, I just hope there is something I can give back....because believe me Ill try.

I do tailoring to nearly 450 and am working on achievements to open stuff, my alchemy is still at 375 as tbh i cba with it anymore. Everyone knows you have the dogs nads in craftsmen, but if I can help in any way I am your humble servant

So yeah i've known Wicca since Vanilla and i think it was when i was in the same guild as her, called Shadowblood. It was a bit before i joind IE so i know how the "community" was there.
As i don't really have alot of "ingame" friends outside the guild joining us i would really like her to join. (omg shes female guys!)
I guess she would really like the community we have, because it's the best!

At the moment I can commit to raiding just 1 day a week as Im redoing a maths GCSE so I can get on a teacher training course.  Things might change after I take the exam in June though.

Well I can be on more...I just cant commit to more days until my exams are over, really important to me - and if I say I can be there Im there, I don't lie.  So if I signed on say Monday Id be there Monday rain or shine, I might be on Tuesday too and could go raiding...but I couldn't promise, so Id say I cant commit.  Friday Im useally on all night, but you didnt ask about that and Sundays too.     Shannaro said you have casual players and that's the group Id like to be part of, in return you will have loyality, commitment and friendship.

I know Im not perfect, but I just want to make some new friends.  In my proffession you start as a glass washer, then lab assistant, then lead lab tech, lab manager, company scientist, researcher, etc.  Let me go on trial and proove myself to you, I don't wanna be anything else but in a guild with nice people. Plus I make a great cuppa tea;)
