Aloha, Goddag, Guten Tag, Goeie Dag, Buna Ziua, Good day, dobre & grüss gott!
Meleri here, upcoming Bloodelf Paladin, looking exactly like my siggy, and hoping to join the ranks of Iron Edge.
Who's Meleri?I'm a 21 year old, soon 22 (God the years pass by fast don’t they?), I currently reside in Denmark, more precisely Copenhagen, and I'm probably what most people would consider a misfit youth, meaning Im a lazy git with no work

I'm a former University student (English Lit.) telemarketer (I suck at sales, too honest) Insurance/Claims staffer (temp.) and now I’m unemployed waiting for August, at that time I will start my study to become a Social Worker, exciting isn’t it?
Character InformationNot much to put in here as I’m waiting for TBC to come along so I can finally make my long time dream come true, playing a proper Elf, not that perversion we have on Alliance side

Suffice to say, she'll be a Blood elf Paladin, looking exactly like the one in my siggy, I’ve had a private server running with a TBC beta so I've been driving myself mad making her in a 100 different versions

As far as specs goes, I can easily spec whichever is the most needed by the guild, I don’t mind pure healing, tanking or being a retriboon
As for specs for any and all occasions, here are my suggestions for what a raiding Paladin would be specced like in the following order:
Healbot AKA The Pope Spec: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent-bc=sVxurguhestxMu Spec Explanation: No imp SoR, simply because its bugged and doesn’t work at all.
No purifying power because 10% of cleanse isn’t worth 2 points , consecration isn’t really used in raids.
Imp devo is finally worth it, very good for squishies
Guardians favor is awesome , less cooldown on BoP and almost infinite BoF
and of course the high flying, Blessing of Kings
Redoubt is a better talent then Imp Devotion, except for raids, since if your healing you probably wont get hit, and Devotion helps the squishies more in the long run

Why bugged?
With Imp. SoR, as it is now its like + 2dmg a swing, which is nothing, and it doesn’t work on judgements
so its pretty much useless because the only reason you would like it, is for judging.
Tankadin: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent-bc=qZEhtIT0zgzEoV0x Spec Explanation:Why not spell warding?
I think stun-resist is more useful, I don’t think paladins will be tanking spell dmg mobs a lot, and even if they do i wonder if 4% is really going to matter much.
The worst thing is that your tank is stunned and the mob runs loose, tanking 101.
Why no 1h spec?
Physical dmg is pretty much useless, since our main aggro is holy dmg
so probably the palatank will tank with a spell dmg 1hander
like this one
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=27899 or
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29185 Basically when holy shield is active all holy attacks cause 30% more threat + righteous fury active =
A lot of holy dmg threat and with the mana received from healing you can spam consecration for even more aggro.
Warladin: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent-bc=qxZxhZxf0tMcuiIstSpec explanation:Why not vindication you may ask? Simply because it’s a broken talent, it doesn’t work on bosses and not all trash mobs, awesome idea, poorly executed, good game blizzard
With Sanctified Judgement and Imp Sanctity a Retri Pala offers ok DPS (a bit lower then a MS warrior I believe, can keep up JoTC ( increased holy dmg AND 3% crit for the whole raid) JoW/JoL at once and provide a +6% extra healing received aura for their party
Problem here: They nerfed CS in a way which is really … unsatisfying and they didn’t think that through, a Retri Pala can keep ALL judgement up that other paladins do with Crusaderstrike BUT , now Crusaderstrike is nerfed to 10second cooldown meaning that if he misses CS once , all Pala's need to rejudge.
However, rumour has it they will increase the judgement duration to 22 or 24second making the Retri Pala get 2 chances to land a CS. Depending on raid-setup it can be awesome or disappointing I think.
Having said that:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent-bc=sixh0xZZxf0tzcuicot this build could be viable if you had sufficient “to hit” items, thus freeing up some points to use in Holy, seeing as you’d want to be able to heal too, I hate one-sidedness, so with this setup you can still heal ''decent'' if you grab the holy healing set as well
If we look at T4 for a sec, it gives 13 hit-rating, that’s around 1% to hit, with a 4 Hit-rating socket bonus, meaning we’d need some +hit jewels to toss in there. So, assuming we stack +hit gems, and get some decent +hit neck/rings it should be do-able, we’ll need around 5-6% to ensure CS lands.
Gaming and World Of Warcraft HistoryI’ve been playing computer games my entire life, for as long as I remember I’ve been sitting in front of a screen playing whatever, but most notably, adventure games.
I was massively addicted to Black Isle’s games, Fallout I & II, Baldur’s Gate I+II and its expansions robbed me of a 1½ years of my life, even started modding it one point, I’ve never been able to do things moderately, it’s a flaw of mine, working on it, scouts honour.
I was never into Diablo, neither I nor II, Im not really sure why, but I do think the Diablo games was the result of a conspiracy made by Blizzard and the Logitech aimed at getting the poor consumer to buy a new mouse every week due to smashing the previous one.
WoW is my first MMORPG, so it was quite the experience to emerge myself in a game this vast and complex, never been used to there being an actual social aspect of a pc game.
I started playing in March 2005, my best RL mate was playing and it was all he would ever talk about, so finally I caved, I had to see what all the fuss was about and being a man of an addictive nature, I was lost from the rest of the world.
My mate had a small guild at the time, and I asked him what he needed the most, and he said that it was always hard to find good priests, and that it would be the easiest were I ever to go PuG’ing, so off I went and created an Elven priest. I was immensely disappointed initially to find that my fave race, Bloodelves, had been left out, so I would have to settle for a slightly… feminine male priest, with a pinkish hue to him.
Shortly after hitting 60 some friends from the guild and I were offered to come help out one of the major guilds on the Alliance side in Molten Core, us being healers, and fairly good at what we do, we stepped up and joined 2 weeks later.
From here on the story speaks for itself, MC was cleared, BWL was thwarted quite easily and we moved on to AQ40, downing everything till Huhu with fairly ease. Huhu proved tricky for a while, Emperors too but eventually we got them down and proceeded into Naxxramas in which we managed to kill off 4 bosses, at quite the cost though.
What we initially perceived as “summer slowness” seemed to extend itself all the way till late November.
Attendances were horrible, new recruits proved impossible to teach/went MIA for weeks on end.
We tried everything in our power to mount a response to this state of mind, we managed to rally the troops for one last final grand achievement, we downed C’thun.
After this raids on end were cancelled, people not showing up despite having signed etc, and one day it all imploded on itself, and just recently a new guild was formed, the one I find myself in now.
So to sum up, my raiding experience is as follows: MC, BWL, AQ, 4 bosses in Naxx (Anub, Faerlina, Raz & Noth)
Why do you want to join Iron Edge? You find something unique horde side you don’t see on the Alliance side, a great sense of family and belonging, a friend always uses a great example. When you’re grinding Tyr’s and get jumped, nearby horde will come to your aid, alliance people look over their shoulder and go “huh, oh well, at least it wasn’t me”
The sense of unity and inter-dependence means a lot to me, and just don’t see that anywhere else to be frank, and no one embodies this special feeling more than Iron Edge.
I take great pleasure in the thrill of raiding, its what I play for, to down new bosses and experience End Game content to the fullest of its extents, and these requires a group of people that runs smoothly, dedicated, motivated and committed people through and through, without ever loosing track of what’s important, to have fun and enjoy the time we spend together, no better place to do that, than I.E (or so I am told from reliable sources)
Simple as that.
What can I offer to Iron Edge?Good question, I can offer a happy, fun-loving bloke with a committed spirit but sadly a horrible sense of humour, if you’re in doubt, ask Crazylock, poor guy has been exposed to quite a bit of my musings. A wealth of raiding experience, having done all of the above raid instances as both Priest and Rogue.
Last words?Make Love, not Gnomes
