Another Paladin Application

Personal Information

My name is Doug and I'm from England. My age is far too old, but mentally it varies from day to day.

Character Information

As yet I have no characters on Dunemaul. I am playing Alliance at the moment on Trollbane where I have a tier 2/2.5 warlock, Tier 1/2 Druid, Tier 1 Paladin and a warrior in blues.
I will be shortly creating a character Xyrsa as a name holder for when the Burning Crusade is released to roll a BE Paladin on this realm. I plan on leveling the character to 60 as retribution then swapping at that time to Holy / Protection for party and raids.

Gaming (optional) and World Of Warcraft history

I started with online games back in 1996 but back then I was mainly playing RTS at LANs. Have played UO, Diablo 2, quite a few MUDs and some Runescape.
I first tried WoW round a friends house shortly after the release and got a copy straight away after that. My first character was a paladin on Bloodscalp and I started a warlock as an Alt character where I joined a friends guild which I stayed in until migration to Trollbane. My warlock then took over as my main due to the fact trying to find a paladin a spot in an Allliance raiding guild is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Why do you want to join Iron Edge?
I KNow one of the members of your guild in real life, and from speaking to him the the guild has what I look for in a guild i.e. A good community and a sense of purpose and determination.

What can I offer to Iron Edge?
I have a good working knowledge of the paladin class and have raided MC and BWL with it. I have a good sense of humour if not a little warped at times. Also I am willing to help others with anything they may need to do.

Hmm I dont know who you should speak to because there is no paladin class leader as far as I know.
But Im sure we have space for new paladins.
And you seem to be experienced in online gaming. (Runescape is oldschool )
By the way why do you want to drop retribution on lvl 60? I know there will be lot of new 5 man instances and those we have now but still there will be plenty of solo quests in TBC.

In response to how old I shall submit 32 as being currently my age according to law.
The dropping to Holy spec at 60 is more a case of the better eq for my level is in the instances and going in as a secondary healer or if I have the equipment as primary healer I feel would offer more chance to join, but as you rightly point out there is plenty to solo grind in Outlands. So I will probably consider something more balanced like 25 Holy  11 Protection  15 Retrbution

tbh I can't remember his character name and I don't like to give real names without permission, but I will collar him and either get him to post or get his character name and shame him.

In regards to giving up playing my warlock. I probably will carry her on in a minor way and won't delete it. At the moment and for the last 3 months the guild I am in has had a few issues with lack of interest. This may be due to the imminent release of TBC. The spreading apathy is starting to get to me and chances of getting into another good guild on the realm is slim as they aren't recruiting due to the drop in players needed for instance raiding.

But I told him we were looking for possible Paladins and he has plenty of raid experience, so thought he might fit in with teh far superior Horde
