Pretty fun to watch but has quite a lot of flaws.

For one thing he describes things that a wowplayer knows, but you must play wow already to understand half of it :P

furthermore he describes PVP as being introduced in 1.4 for casuals. Right... what casual ever got anywhere in pvp before tbc ;) He does correct himself afterwards though.

At the time of patch 1.4 MC was only raided by 1 or 2 guilds on each server and most were still trying to even gather a consistent raid group with 40 Onyxia attuned people (if I remember correct this was the patch they buffed the amount of blood dropped tho, from 1 to 2-3).

The PvP system most definitely offered gear within reach such as trinket, bracers, cape and blue items. Atleast boots, legs and gloves were kinda easy to get even before the BG's were released. I mean... chances were higher that you'd get these items in your own pace than running 10 man Scholo for tier .5 stuff where everyone rolled on stuff they could use.

Dont forget.. Epic was truly epic at this time - good blues were pimp! :)

Edit: Compared to now though, yeah you can't even compare it.

took me three weeks of farming wsg with a premade several hours a day to get to rank 8 for the legs :D

But it is true that it gave us some nice blues and it started to give meaning to killing people :)

I guess we're off topic from the meaning of this thread, but:

Note that this was before battlegrounds, so not that many were PvPing at all. It was South Shore PvP and ganking. So, if you only knew about the rewards it was easy to get fast - just getting into a SS raid was a huge boost. Remember, it was based on how much honor you got compared to the rest of the server - not how much you gained to spend.

The real problem was actually maintaining the rank since you had to be rank x to use rank x gear, all the way until they removed that rule like 6-8 months later.
