Other cool links... and stuff

That's quite interesting. But the results look very... "optimistically chosen": The sailboats in http://cg.cs.tsinghua.edu.cn/montage/figures/teaser.jpg have the perfect color shading; in the video the last montage dog pic even has the right shadow beneath the dog. Urm... I'd like the online demo live to see how good it works on average.

Most research papers only show the optimal/best results (unfortunately). They do mention some limitations in their paper (relative scales are an issue) and some stuff still has to be done by the user for a 'good' result. It's also very slow: 15n+5 minutes, where n is the number of items in the scene.

Yar, saw this a few days ago. It's very exciting, and novel use of tech/image libraries!

(I still liked that thing where they build big, high-res pictures of big buildings from thousands of little ones in the public domain.)

A Volvo station-wagon vs a Yamaha R1 motor-cycle: who will win?

The result is surprising!

http://www.autojunk.nl/2009/11/volvette-vs-yamaha-r1

what does "hu een volvo die bijna rond de 400KMH haalt?:|" mean?

Ino · December 13, 2009, 11:12:03 PM

Quotehu een volvo die bijna rond de 400KMH haalt?:|

"Whoa a volvo car that almost drives at 400 Km/h? :|"

Or something like that!
