Funny that you mention him when the lead singer/guitarist/pianist carries the band :) I never found him any special other than using nice effects, and I play the bass myself.

I used to play the old bass myself. I didn't mean just at bass although he's very skilled at that, if you listen to tunes like hysteria for example. But he also plays drums and piano and does backing vocals, so he's quite multi talented.
