Diablo III, or is it?

Hi everyone, tired of waiting for Diablo 3? Then you should really consider trying a game called Torchlight released yesterday.

It has all the great great features and gameplay from Diablo 2 and new handy stuff and awesome graphics! The current cost is 20$, I've played it for about 5 hours this morning and I must say from the first impression it is pretty awesome .

If you are fans of diablo games you should look up some screenies or game vids on youtube and perhaps even try this one because D3 could take another year to come out!

edit: k couldnt wait so I took a couple of screens myself. Btw you have only 3 chars to pick: Warrior, Archer and Alchemyst types. You get a pet which is handy cos you can send your frikkin pet sell the crap to town while you keep on plowing through skulls.

here are some screenies from 2nd checkpoint area, looks like a jungle and all but it's 10 floors underground aparently. The storyline takes you from this little mining town to its mine and you chase this mad guy deep bellow and try to stop whatever shit he's got going on.

wierd, there's same traps as in diablo except that you cannot prevent getting it exploded in your face and then a voice says : You have triggered a trap, well thx alot for telling me I didnt see!

also you try to open a nice shiny chest and poof it comes alive and tries to eat you, damn trasure chests!

Just played this for a few hours. Pretty fucking awesome I can say. It's like diablo 2, but a bit better.

dunno about torrents, it's free to download and all, just that after you install it you get asked for activation code, they said there'd be a demo version soon and a retail DvD in stores in January.

I use newsgroups to find this, installed and no activation or anything. Shouldn't be hard to find.

tbh dont give a damn about copycating, blizzard kept us waiting for too long and this is pretty awesome and fresh wind to Diablo-like RPG genre, + there's a map editor and the creators expect to rain down the mods any time soon , im on 24th level after 12 hours of game. Just when it starts getting boring you get some funny scripted thing to cheer you up or a complete scenery change

anyway on lvl 30 with the warrior after an intense day of killing, got this shockwave stuff that just stomps everything to the ground, it's getting too easy, I should have started on very hard diff instead of normal :/, I'll probably try out the ranged/caster classes tomorow, but I'll be damned if anything could ever come close to the melee classes in RPG games  

so far so good, hopefully the last boss won't be a pussy like every other finals I've met so far.

And the guy leading it was Bill something.. I read alot of interviews about Bill when WoW was still being developed. He is the mind behind the Warcraft and Diablo franchise, explains the similiarities between the games.

Neither i will....
WoW is the most expensive game ever. Because the money -and time- we spend for the same game for over 4 years.

By the way, the game "Torchlight" has a cool interface and concept.
So don't take it to serious if i name it copycat.
Everything in life learns by copying somebody/something else.
And if they are capable of doing it well, and creative enough to put a bit more to improve it !
it may be named success !
At least this one seems to be good on that !
