A-Team application - DPS DeathKnight
« on: November 08, 2009, 11:24:10 pm »
\o
Howdy gang, Salty Sterk is the name, DPS is the game. (Or atleast I try to). Im a seasoned wow player who has been around since Onyxia was unpuggable and flying to Silithus was good business for the Flightmasters.

Ofcourse, as the deadly knight I am currently, my role wasnt really playable around then, but I've progressed through 3 characters during my career. Starting out as the newbish Mage, Vain. Rocking with Fallen during the old says and having a brawl until the current leader figured out that my best friend was a waste of time, I figured following him was the better choice. Some of you may know him as Priestinne or Thomaz.

Later in the evenin' Thomaz got recruited by Cassey to a guild called Rigor Mortis, they were having some issues downing that hard bastard Nightbane, and I was playing around casual on Vain, posting pvp videos on youtube which had around 1 view a month. When Rigor Mortis rounded up on Prince, Thomaz and i had a chat over a smoke and coffee at our local Cafè, telling me their need for heelz. So i figured healing wasnt all that bad, So i rolled my to shaman Buff. I joined in on Rigor Mortis' raids as a healingcow from then on.
Around 2 months of passing trial and becoming a member, Moorg consulted me to become Officer for various jobs, as they did not even have a DKP system, that was my first task. I quickly fit into my role and I've been a member of Rigor Mortis since then, doing more and less everything officer related except for raidleading.

But i guess you want to know some actual interresting stuff eh?

Real life information;
Im a 28 year old male living in Bergen, Norway. With my cat Lucifer and my girlfriend Jeanette (23)(Pictures will ofcourse be included below).
I work as an assistant manager at Kiwi, 90% position, usual work hours from 07:00 to 16:00, fridays are usually from 15:00 to 21:00. These hours might change a bit around later on, but I have a deal with my employeer to make them fit my secret schedule.

My general education is a welder, which I must honestly say is the most boring job I ever had, so i pretty much chose the wrong profession, and have to take that up again if I ever feel like it. Doing photography is a personal hobby, but something i could definatly work as. Imagine that, One of your members a well known photographer for Playboy Magazine, imagine the IE Gatherings eh?
Other hobbies are design, photoshop and general webdesign. My html/php skills gradually started out as sucky, but nowadays they are nowhere to be found. I get friends to code the pages, and I set up the design.
The past 2 years I havent been touching that hobby much though, sadly cause of the lack of time.

I consider myself a caring person, who easily can be manipulated by doing things i dont want to do simply by using puppyeyes and female breasts. Im weak when it comes to this, so i can safely say im the bitch in the relationship. Although I try to raise my fist occasionally.

Im a smoker, got a problem with it? Take it up with my lawyer.

MMO Relations

Long time ago, in a netcafe far far away, I started out a brand new game called EverQuest. I played this game with a few breaks in between for a total of 4 1/2 years. Raiding end content level (With no use of Ventrilo or similar), until most of my friends in that game decided to move over to that new colorful game World of Warcraft. Heck, I tried sticking around without friends, but that wasnt very popular. So I "ended" my MMO career.

It took me about 2 months until my eyes was planted to the monitor running around azeroth as a level 10 Undead mage, being plain awesome.

On from that, I think most WOW information is at the top. I can on the other hand add in I played my shaman Buff as restoration until we reached Mount Hyjal, at that point I rerolled Enhancement as my mainspec, and stayed that way until the day we downed Kil'Jaeden (nerfed version). As i can recall it, the nerf happened when we progressed on M'uru, or slightly after.

When Wrath hit the floor, as most people, I made a DK alt, and immediatly fell in love with the class and its aspects of the game. I always wanted to be a evil son of a ****, so i almost rolled to my warlock at some point plain and simly because their tier sets were so DAMN AWESOME. But with the deathknight at hand, that was no longer a issue.
I've progressed with Sterk since then, had a 2-3 month break lately cause of my trainee period at work to become a Ass.Manager, (No, not the ass you sit on), and returned to the ranks in Rigor Mortis after that.
After returning, there had been quite some changes in the guild, many members had been lost to some turd guild on the server, Iron something. Some new officers had been promoted, and a handful of new members.
The guild was changed, no question about that, and it took me a while to realize that RM was no longer the RM i cherished since Karazhan. I had been a officer since the day of dawn, and had a aweome long run with these people. Sadly the closer friends you have fade away, but ofcourse some stuck behind. Silchasruin is still running the show and I still believe the guild will do well in ICC. Short, the reason for leaving was disagreements with the new leaderships decisions and how the way the guild is run prior to how it used to be. I decided to leave, and Thomaz followed after.

Time for some links.

Gear
My gear consists mostly of toc25/late Ulduar and some 10man stuff, I havent been able to get a hold of a proper weapon yet, but I have a buddy helping me out arena wise to get atleast a better weapon that what i currently have. Im capped in all ways (in some even overcapped). I use Rawr to determine the best and worst upgrades.
Im fully maxed on Jewelcrafting with a handful of epic gems, I collect my JC tokens for requests instead of just buying them randomly. Im also a maxed Enchanter.

Armory profile: http://armory.wow-europe.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&n=Sterk

Progress wise I have killed beasts Heroic, but missed out on the Jaxx kill we had last week. Some hardmodes in Ulduar aswell. I havent been around that much for toc10 heroics, but I've had some attempts on Anub there, the others managed to get him down and got him on farm by now, but they mostly have their finished setup every week.

I would like to join Iron Edge since a fine deal of my old RM friends have moved this direction, alongside with that I want a environment which are not afraid of competition, but rather love to compete. And ofcourse Delling is about go give birth to my firstborn, So i rather dont have a choice.
I want to give my best and push my personal limits, see how far I can get, and alongside with that, get to know a bunch of pimpdaddys with canes.

I can offer damage per second, probably more of it every week, and occasionaly kick Intrinsic's meters some day. I can offer my army on bosses with AOE, and some massive treehuggin. I can offer presence and my profession services.
My tanking gear pretty much consists of a few toc25 items, but mostly t8.5 and ulduar25 items. I use this for heroics and such, without changing the specs. Current specs are PVE UNHOLY/PVP UNHOLY, until i get my weapon upgrade, then i will be dualing two DPS specs to determine the one i play best.

And if I think you deserve it, I might just pop in some nudiepics in between good weeks for encouragement. (No not of me, my neighbourdoor sweetheart).
Oh, and i heard some of you guys are hilarious, I guess thats a big shiny star in my book.

Now what do i look like? Bearded old hagster or a sweet prettyboy with bling bling and hair full of butter?

That would be me..

And how about a peek at my girlfriend Jeanette and cat Lucifer? (Yes, the 666 one)

Thanks for reading my wall of text. \o/ And hope to get to give it a shot and see if I might be IE material.

Let intrinsic do the orbs hoho.

From what I've read and talked you in the past in game, top guy and your glyphs/specs seem fine too.

You might have to change the PvE spec a little for anub arak, but its only a couple of points and a glyph. Also you need the 4th piece of t9!

39 expertise is quite above the mark...27~ being enough for 2h melee, and especially considering any upgrade of weapon would probably be an axe,-> 44 expertise, way overcapped.
Cloak enchant should probably be 23 haste (unless you intend going frost) and 233 hit is a little low.  All this should be fixable with a few upgrades though.

Respect for the effort in the app and best of luck.

Wouldn't happen to be the Kiwi next to a Deli De Luca in the center of Bergen?
