Failed to launch.... ?

It worked perfectly until I closed it, then this happens. It tries to update and I can't get the option to play offline again. Halp?

Yeah there was an update. Unfortunately the cracked version doesn't allow this. Load the game up, but don't do anything yet! Disconnect your LAN cable (or whatever to stop your PC having access to the internet) then click login, it will say it couldn't connect or something and give you the option to click "play offline". Once your in the offline mode you can reconnect your internet and as long as you don't close the game you won't have to repeat the process.

I had the same problem as Goz. Did what you said, but after the "play offline" option, even when disconnected from the net, it goes to a "updating minecraft" screen, which shows a loading bar at 90% and has "done loading" (despite the fact its at 90%) and doesn't progress from there.

Suggestions?

Oh yeah I forgot! If your game has tried to update before doing this method you will need to delete the contents of the .minecraft folder (don't delete your saves!) and recopy the .minecraft folder from the .rar

They announced that it will be free for play during this week due to some shit, but when their shit is sorted out your accounts will be deleted and you will have to pay for it again.

I tried to make an account last night but apparently I was not the only one who knew about this and their server crashed or something.

Start of my castle! :)  Seriously unfinished, but getting there.   A little cliché, I know, but meh!

That'll be one of the corner towers, gonna add walls joining them, a surrounding defensive wall, moat... and so on.

Nice start there, and those comics were quite funny.

I must say I'm quite surprised how much Minecraft has blown out of proportion. It's crazy! Youtube is full of videos and theres so many websites dedicated to it, and it's strange because at first glance it doesn't look like the game would be that great.

But... Then you play for a bit, doesn't even have to be that long just enough to start making your first few items or your first shelter and then it is a struggle to stop the game.

I've had to restart my game unfortunately because being on a snow level finally started to bug me to no end and I couldn't take it anymore. It really got annoying and damaging to my shovels to have to dig through the snow and then the ground each time and get your inventory filled with stupid snowballs that for some reason only stack in packs of 16.

It's not great.  There are many flaws.  One of them is the addictiveness :)
