Just posted in the kodo graveyard with my sob story of being lonely after being away for nearly a year and thought what better way to get back into the game and find out the low down on what has changed than applying to IE
So, going by the F&F rules of application, here goes...
My RL name is Nick, I am Head of Design at a software company and have just turned 40! I know, was a big shock to me too but I made up for it with a debauched weekend at Torture Garden, look it up if you are over 18
I hope some of the original members remember me, I remember some of them. Of course there is Delling, nuff said
Then there was Grilly, who I remember grinding in the Plaguelands with, Lego, who is still a good friend of Biffy and has got wasted with a few times that I know of
Archz and Shannaro too.
I was a non-raiding member way back in 2006/7 when Bifftanner was the hunter class leader and learnt a lot about how to play the game through watching and joining in on the odd late night raid. But, in the end I left to join a less hardcore guild of friends that I had made in the game. We went through various guild name changes before disbanding before LK was launched. I even went over to Holland for a LAN weekend bash! I live in London btw.
After my friendly guild ceased to be I wanted to experience serious raiding and joined Fallen before LK launched and levelled to 80 in 5 days in order to get a first team raid spot. It was probably the best time I had in WOW to date, a real sense of achievement to be one of the first to down a boss.
I will never claim to be the best SP in the game but I do my bit, make as few mistakes as possibly and do my research! How frustrating it is when you get all the usual excuses of why someone or other has not, at least, watched the video of the encounter you are doing that night!
I am not applying for a raiding spot, yet, as I realise that I have been out of the loop for too long to jump straight back in, I have some serious reading to do in the next month to get up to speed with the new specs.gear/talents. What I am applying for is to join a knowledgable guild, with some old skool players that will remember the days before flying mounts, Jewellery Crafting and when AV used to take 10 hours to finish
I have a 4 level 80 chars at min but only Trollop has raid gear, albeit Ulduar gear but if you have need of any of the other chars I would willingly level them up to help out, post patch. Basically, I am in need of some motivation to get back into WOW and hope you guys sympathetic to an old timers needs

Why are you playing your current class/spec? Is it simply because it's strong or because you think it's fun?
Any relevant alts you have and their levels.
What professions do you have and why? Any cool/special recipes?
What previous raiding/PvP experience you have, Setups, Ratings etc.
Previous guilds and reasons why you left them.
Times at which you are available. Include things like work shifts, upcoming exams, holidays, etc.
Are you proficient in english? Do you have Discord and can you listen? Do you have a microphone and do you use it?
Do you have a decent computer? Do you have fps issues? What's your internet connection like? Is it stable? Do you have high ping to Kazzak? Do you lag? Do you disconnect every hour?
List any addons you use for raiding and why you use them. Also include a screenshot of your ui (this is mandatory) and list any relevant key bindings that are not shown.
