[Casual Raid] Paladin (Heal) - Paghda
« on: January 30, 2013, 10:37:15 am »
Hello, Iron Edge!

Character: Paghda
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Dunemaul/Paghda/advanced
Class/Spec: Paladin (Heal)
Raid: Casual Raid

Personal Info:

This is Tolga, a 30 years old Turkish male and Berrycuda's cousin. I am a molecular biologist trying to establish his own biotechnology company (in other words, I have lots of free time). I have been playing WoW on and off for 6 years now and raided as main tank (paladin and druid), healer (paladin, druid and shaman) and DPS (warlock, druid and shaman) so I have fair bit of knowledge how the game works.

Spec:

Holy / ret. Ret is for questing etc. My gear level is constantly changing but it is, coincidentally,  462 for both specs but I will get some more valor point epics this week.

Class:

For holy, I prefer to go for spirit > intellect > mastery > haste > crit for now since my gear level is not high enough to go for int and not go out of mana in long fights. When I have better gear, intellect and spirit will swap priorities.

Alts:

I have two more toons on this server:
Ottaku: 90 monk
Waghda: 85 warrior

Professions:

Mining / engineering. I picked up engineering simply because it is so much fun compared to other professions.

Raid Experience:

No recent raid logs, I'm afraid.

Raid experiences:
Vanilla: ZG, MC, Onyxia, AQ 10, AQ 40, BWL, Naxx
TBC: Karazhan, Gruul, Maggy, ZA, Coilfang Reservoir Serpentshrine, TK, CoT: Battle for Mount Hyjal,
WotLK: Naxx, Obsidian Sanctum, Vault of Archavon, The Eye of Eternity, Ulduar.

Didn't join raids in Cata and MoP

Previous Guilds:

None on this server. I am currently in a leveling guild called Magnificent just for the perks.

Availability:

I am currently available most of the time and will be so till June (my company will be founded). Starting from June I will be working hard but I will be able to spare enough game time for raids.

Communication:

Yes, I am proficient. I don't have teamspeak 3 installed but have used it before. I can listen and speak and I do have a microphone and I am not afraid to use it.

Computer / Connection:

All systems optimal. No connection issues. Low ping (below 100 ms)

Addons/UI:

I use X-perl, Healbot, deadly boss mods and recount for raids. A couple of other add-ons are installed as well but not worth mentioning.

Other Games:

Civ 5, Skyrim, Assassin's Creed 3, Primordia and The Witcher 2. I'm not playing other MMOs.

Why Iron Edge?

I used to raid a lot and loved the warm and fun environment as well as the feeling of accomplishment and I want to experience the same thins again :)

What can I offer Iron Edge?

My shield and mace!

Where did I hear about Iron Edge??

Berrycuda

Last Words?

May the holy power be with you.

Hi there, thanks for applying! While we aren't too picky about gear atm your is really low it really should be around +/- 475. I don't see a problem with inviting as a Friend and Family member, but you'll need to gain some gear before you get a raider trial.

You need to register an account on the forums in order to reply.

I'd like to know is it a bug on amory or do you actually have +600dodge cogwheel in your head.

I dont think he can put anything else there since he got other stats on his trinket, maybe hit. Another problem is leather legs, why would you ever use non plate items?

Hey guys. Thanks for your lovely replies. As for some answers for your questions:

Quote from: Cojche
I'd like to know is it a bug on amory or do you actually have +600dodge cogwheel in your head.

I have the proper cogwheels on my trinket, and since they are unique eqiupped and I had to put one to activate the socket bonus I thought "why not some damage migitation?" and put dodge gem.

Below you can see the same ilevel blues that drop from heroics. Only major difference between them is the armor value. Leather one even has bit more spirit, which stat I value the most given the current state of my overall items. But still, plate item is ofcourse the first choice and if I have to spend significant time / valor points etc on it, it will definitely be plate. Then again, if it is just a random blue drop that I will only keep for a week at the most and only do heroics and LFRs with, then I am happy with my leather pants. I am open to any suggestions, though. I haven't been raiding for quite a bit now and some mechanics might have changed so please don't hesitate to correct any flaws in my logic.

Regards, Pally in Leather Pants :)

Good to see a somewhat structured reply about your lefs, even if you were kinda wrong. I'd like to hear some positive things from berry, although your app has impressed me. Take the advice onboard and get some improvements for your gear and we can talk about a raid spot.

Thank you :) That means a lot as it shows you guys revere this kind of behaviour and is also a small sample of what I will be facing in the guild :)  At this point I would also like to say that, for me, a guild does not only mean raiding, getting the best gear out there and show it off in Orgrimmar but also having fun and knowing people from various backgrounds and culture Back in the vanilla days, we used to log in to ventrilo just to chat and have fun. I have a strong feeling I will find what I am looking for in here :)

Will do! I probably won't be able to sign in till Monday though.

P.S.: I have had a hard day and am dying to sleep right now. So if what I wrote up here doesn't make sense, please accept my apologies :)
