Hai!

My name is Egill and I'm soon to be 24 years old. I come from a dark cold place called Iceland. Actually it's not that cold or dark here, but some genius decided to name it Iceland :<

I'm currently working at home programming stuff when I feel like it, most days I'm just being lazy and chilling in Undercity while surfing the Auction House.

Spec:

I've been playing holy/disc for the most part since I dinged 90 but the new shadow changes in 5.2 are awesome and I prefer playing shadow.

Class:

As holy I do something along these lines;

I get as much spirit as possible but gem/reforge as much as I need to into haste in order to get the extra tick from renew(glyphed). Once I hit 4721 haste I pour everything I can into mastery.

When healing I've generally been either raid healing or focusing on 1 tank while keeping the raid alive (10 man).

If I'm on tank duty I keep PoM and renew up on the tank and spam Heal on him unless he or the raid require healing in which case I start mashing buttons. There isn't really a way to describe which heals I use and when since it varies so much, but in general Prayer of Healing and Echo of Light are my top two spell on recount.

When I am healing the raid I keep renew up on around 3-4 targets and refresh them using Heal while using CoH and PoM on cooldown. If the raid spikes I use Cascade and start spamming Prayer of Healing.

I almost always use Chakra: Serenity, the only times I use Sanctuary is if I know that the raid is going to be stacked and taking lots of aoe damage. (e.g. Lightning Storm)

When needed I use Chastise to give that extra dps, especially on bosses like Gara'jal where bloodlust is popped at the start, I prepot an int potion and go ham.


I haven't played shadow in raids during MoP but I have a good understanding of the class since I raided shadow during WotLK.

I can't really tell you much about my playstyle as shadow since I'm currently getting the hang of it. I follow this guide loosely;

Alts:

None on this realm and I do not have any plans on migrating alts to Kazzak in the near future.

Professions:

JC and Enchanting. No special reason other than I like being able to disenchant stuff instead of getting useless greens/blues. JC because I didn't have a Jewelcrafter on any of my alts.

I might change JC to Engineering because I love Synapse Springs.

Raid Experience:

TBC: Everything except Sunwell done post 30% nerf. (I dinged 70 days after the nerf.)

WotLK: Everything except Lich King heroic. I did ToGC insanity a couple of times on 10 man.

Cata: T12 7/7 heroic, T13 8/8 heroic with the buff, not entirely sure how late but probably 25%.

Previous Guilds:

Cuddle Vendor - I'm currently in CV but we've been having huge problems with raids. Both issues with attendance and the fact that officers don't play the game enough, they log for raids and then are rarely seen. The guild is dying a slow and painful death.

Availability:

Pretty much 24/7 unless I go camping or something. (Which doesn't happen alot, I prefer not leaving my cave at all unless I need food or something essential.)

Communication:

English is my second language, I should be able to communicate and be understood. I have a working microphone.

Computer / Connection:

My computer is fast and I got a 100Mbit fiber connection. I've had slight ms issues on this connection but nothing that has affected my performance in raids.

I have been using Vuhdo for healing but I recently formatted and haven't been bothered to configure it all over again. (I use it to monitor buffs and their durations, not to cast spells.)

I can offer you a stable raider that has been playing the game on and off for a very long time. I am punctual and always strive to perform as well as I can. I can take criticism and offer it as well. I'm a pretty relaxed guy and enjoy a laugh as much as the next guy but I also know when to be focused on the task at hand.

Thank you for applying to IE, your application seems decent and your gear is also okiesh, Now I don't know what spec are you gonna be playing if its healing other officer healers will comment on your healing specs and stats etc, I as the only SP in the guild will comment on your shadow spec:

Talent tree seems best.

Glyphs: all glyphs now are not helpful in maximizing DPS but the can help the raid and your survivability and you could change the glyph of weakened soul and glyph of inner sanctum to glyph of improved VT and glyph of fade they seem to be most helpful in term of survivability

Gems: with the new changes haste seems to be the best stat after Int, although some theory crafters claim that int=haste now adays, however the gems u r using are not the best to maximize your dps there are better (not that they will increase the dps dramatically but they are better)  so for yellow you need Quick Sun's Radiance and for blue you need Energized Wild Jade and for red you need Reckless Vermilion Onyx.

Other than that you are welcome my friend, and I really like your reference of how to get information about SP's .

@Devilrox My current gems are kind all over the place, I had however read that I should not gem Quick or Energized gems until I was at or around 505 ilevel. If that's wrong I'd be happy to get the BiS gems.

Regarding my glyph choices I'm not a fan of Weakened Soul, I had planned to change that. I agree that the glyph for Fade is most likely going to be more useful.

Improved VT? I assume you are referring to the imp VE glyph. Personally I prefer Inner Sanctum, I can't see how any other glyph gives me more than a flat 6% reduction to spell damage taken.

I do believe that imp VE could be better than either Fade or Inner Sanctum on fights where there are high amounts of burst raid damage.

But then again I haven't been playing shadow alot so this is all speculation.

@Therash I honestly have no idea, everyone in the guild except the officers are strangers to me. Cuddle Vendor used to be on Grim Batol, the guild migrated over here some months ago and none of the current raiders except the officers and myself are from Grim Batol.

I see you went through the hell that is Holy 10man as well in MoP  Rest asured that if you _are_ gonna be healing in 25man, you will basicly be in sanctuary 24/7 and spam Prayer of Healing while never getting tankhealing duty, life will be much better
