Spec:

The spec that i am currently using is frost, which is my main spec. offspec atm is unholy.

Class:

As a frost deathknight i am aiming to maximize my dps. To achieve this the stats i would be going for after capping hit and expertise are Strength -> Haste -> crit = mastery.

As for rotation, it is more of a priority system.
1. keep diseases up at all times.
2. soul reaper at 35%, (45% with current tier bonuses)
3. killing machine proc use on Obliterate -> Frost strike.
4. rime proc on howling blast.
5. using damage buff cooldowns appropriately. For example i have engineering, where the strength glove enchant has a 1 minute cooldown, which i would time with pillar of frost to maximize dps.

Alts:

not relevant but just got my paladin to 90.

Professions:

engineering

for the glove enchant, providing a nice dps boost with frost dk cooldowns. The mounts you can make are cool to, cant wait for the sky golem in 5.4

alchemy

gain bonuses with flasks, a good profession in a raiding guild in my opinion. can help make flasks or potions for a guild with extra procs, with the right specialization.

Raid Experience:

Been playing the game since Vanilla.

Vanilla Experience:
Cleared MC, Bwl, AQ 40 when it was all relevant content. naxx40 up to 4 horseman.
class used: Tauren Hunter

The Burning Crusade:
Cleared all raids in this expansion. including kazzak server first kil'jaeden kill, with a guild called showdown, if relevant at all
Class Used: Tauren Hunter, then Belf Paladin

Wrath Of The Lich King:
Cleared all raids, except for lich king 25 heroic when it was relevant. Did it 10 man but i dont think that was as difficult.

Cataclysm:
took a break in cataclysm, when i came back i did complete firelands with 6/7 heroic. no heroic raggy unfortunately . Took a break for dragon soul.

Mists of Pandaria:
completed the first 3 raids, msv, hof and terrace on normal. in ToT I have 9/12 normal experience so far.


Previous Guilds:

illuminati / primal:
was in this guild for vanilla wow on the server daggerspine, which migrated to kazzak when we had the choice. continued with this guild in burning crusade. Left when the guild disbanded, due to real life commitments with most raiders, which did not allow them to raid no longer. A sad day

Pwnanza:
Was with these guys when progressing through black temple and Mount hyjal raids. Left due to RL, as I could not raid at the times they needed.

Showdown:
Raided with these guys to finish Sunwell. Left when WOTLK was released as they wanted to migrate to another server.

Gamer core:
raided with this guild through cataclysm after coming back from a break. left when MOP was released as it was a friends guild, and they decided to go inactive.

Poke it with a stick:
Raided with these guys in Throne of Thunder to 9/12 normal. Before then I did pugs for the first 3 raids of this expansion. Left this guild, again due to inactive members, and struggling to get 10 man raiding active as a result.


Availability:

I am usually on most days in the week. I do work and usually get home for 7pm game time.

As your raid times are 8pm, this fits in well

I am fluent in English. I have TS3, including a microphone which I use

Addons i use are:

Bigwigs - assist with raid encounters/timers
recount - review dps/healing/dispels
bartender 4 - for user interface
omen - to keep an eye on threat
shadow unit frames - for character unit frames

but it is a clean interface so that i can pay attention to boss encounter mechanics

Why Iron Edge?

As i have real life commitments i cannot raid as often as id like to. Raiding two days a week fits in well with RL, and being a 25 man guild is a huge plus

I know i don't have a awesomely geared dk, but i've been playing dks for some time.

If you play frost, mastery > crit. You have KM procs almost 24/7, you don't need crit, and you can never have enough haste Aaaand on execute, on KM use Soul Reaper. As far as i understood from previous patch notes, KM affects SR too.
So, KM : SR (under 45% with bonuses) > FS (if you have over 4 secs to wait for OB) > OB.
I hope you use D&D too

I'm sorry if i seemed mean by saying all that. I've played on a friend's dk (because he's kinda decently geared) and i did an 800k burst. Freaking awesome. He's around 510 ilvl.

well, you need to use all the cds to steal a little more dps xP

oh, and i forgot about Runic Corruption. it's the best passive out of the two, with Blood tap being the best if you know how to joggle it properly.

You have a slightly different build and glyphs then Castiel for instance.

And there is a difference in your rotation from the 'recommended' one:

FrostFever + BloodPlague
SoulReaper on target below 35% Health
HowlingBlast (with Rime) or for refreshing FrostFever
Obliterate with Killing Machine
Frost Strike with 0 Frost Runes or to dump RunicPower
Obliterate with 2 Blood, Frost, or Unholy Runes.

Use Outbreak to apply diseases. HowlingBlast will automatically apply and refresh FrostFever, the only disease you need to keep up is BloodPlague (use PlagueStrike or Outbreak).

Consuming your Rime and KillingMachine procs are your next priority. Rime + HowlingBlast has a higher priority than KillingMachine + Obliterate. Keep your RunicPower from capping by using FrostStrike.

I'm unholy at heart though, so no indepth knowledge of Frost DK's here. I think if you mess around a little with your playstyle and the recommended one and have chat with one of our frost dk's, I'm sure you can figure something out
