[25 Man Casual Raid] Shaman (Heal) - Franga
« on: December 18, 2013, 07:18:24 pm »
Hello, Iron Edge!

Character: Franga
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Kazzak/Franga/advanced
Class/Spec: Shaman (Heal)
Raid: 25 Man Casual Raid

Personal Info:

My name is Pedro, I’m 23 years old from Portugal. Although currently unemployed, I’m a pastry chef and I enjoy very much what I do. I’m very passionate about sports and I spend most of my time working out in some way when I’m not playing WoW. Other than that, I love reading, going out with my friends, I’m very outgoing. DRINKING BEER!

Spec:

Ever since I've started playing Shaman, I've always loved it. It's my favourite class next to Mage and I couldn't really commit to this game without this class, nothing gives me as much joy as playing Shaman. Currently my main spec is restoration with 552 ilvl and off spec is enhancement with around 515, I don't use it for a lot, other than questing, etc.

Class:

Spirit > Intellect > Haste (Breakpoint) > Crit > Mastery
Right now I think I got as much Spirit as I need, enough not to have mana problems. I've been experimenting with gemms and I think I found a sweet middle ground for my Haste breakpoint without losing too much on other stats.
Can't really say there's a healing rotation...

Alts:

Angolana, level 90 Fire Mage also here on Kazzak. A couple others that I also use for professions, etc but not important gear/raid-wise.

Professions:

To be honest, the professions I have on this character were mostly chosen because I had other characters with professions that could be more suitable but those I got are pretty okay. Got inscription for the shoulder enchant and engineering has the Synapse Springs with very low cooldown stop it's an extra trinket that can be used all the time.

Raid Experience:

Right, this is where I unleash my keyboard’s fury… Just kidding. Well, I want to start off here and say that I’ve been away from the game for almost two years. I’ve stopped like after a month of Cataclysm coming out so didn’t get into a lot of raiding then, only the first few normal bosses on the first few raids, not even all of them. I had to quit for professional reasons. Having only gotten back three of four months ago, not sure and being fully equiped with Cataclysm crappy blues and purples, let’s say I didn’t get very far in ToT and previous raids! Other than LFR all I got on this expansion is SoO, been in a couple of guilds mostly as a trial trying to gear up or being invited by friends to fill some spots and/or doing normal pugs. My progress overall for SoO is 13/14 normal, did Hellscream a couple of times in early times of him coming out but group wasn’t strong enough at the time to get but know the fight well. Also have a couple of bosses on heroic which I did at a later time but have experience with more bosses on heroic aswell. Been very unlucky.

Previous Guilds:

After coming back to World of Warcraft, I’ve only been in one serious guild, which is the only I’m currently on (Virtuosity). Before I get to that, I was on Sylvanas before, only been in guilds mostly for perks, guilds were not active raid-wise and didn’t get nothing out of it but I was leveling up, discovering everything about Pandaria and what it has to offer and catching up after two years so I wasn’t worried. To be completely honest, I had to leave Sylvanas, there were no guilds to apply to, either they were 10/14 HC or 5/14 normal, no middle ground and I thought I didn’t belong at the top but neither did I belong to the bottom. A fresh start was the best option. Upon coming here I joined Virtuosity, got a trial spot, didn’t get a lot of opportunities due to raiding 10 men and having like 15 people to raid but did still get some items, got called for some bosses, normal and heroic ones and everything was going smooth even though gearing up was going slow (which I have no problem with as long as it does come) but guild progress was going fast. In short two weeks we got to 11/14 HC. A couple weeks back, my computer stopped working so I bought a new one, I had to stay away from the game for 5/6 days waiting for it. When I get back, guild was disbanded, I was shocked and, again, no guild, no raiding, nothing…

Availability:

Right now, I'm unemployed so I have full availability.

Communication:

I'm proficient in English and I don't have any problem with TS.

Computer / Connection:

PC/Internet Reliability:
Intel Core i5-4670 3.40Ghz
8GB RAM
NVidia GeForce GTX 760
Internet connection is 100mb Optic Fiber.

Very rare disconnects. I play and raid with game on Ultra for every setting, even on 25 men raids with no crashes, nothing slowing my computer or my connection.

Addons/UI:

Link to UI screenshot - http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/5628/tfv1.jpg

Macros - Only a few macros I use for Resto. I have two macros to cast either Fire Elemental or Earth Elemental and on a second click cast Empower or Reinforce on myself for the extra healing. The keybind I have on my mouse for interrupt (Wind Shear) is also on a macro (simple stopcast + Wind Shear). I think that’s all of them but I might be forgetting something. Will update if that’s the case.
Keybinds - For Restoration, I don’t have a lot of keybinds. I have most of my healing spells, dispels, etc on VuhDo and only keybind I got is on 5 for Healing Rain. I have a regular mouse with two side buttons which I do use, one for fast interrupts and the other for Spiritwalker’s Grace.
Vuhdo Keybinds - Left click -> Healing Wave, Middle button -> Chain Heal, Right Click -> Greater Healing Wave, Shift Click -> Healing Surge, Shit RClick -> Riptide, CTRL Click -> Purify Spirit and CTRL RClick -> Earth Shield.

Other Games:

Currently, other than WoW I only play League of Legends, not much more.

Why Iron Edge?

In all honesty, I've been looking for a place to stay on the long run and the fact that you have been around for this long makes me really happy. People are so easily disposed of right now for "better players", for a couple ilvls more... I'm tired of all that. I want stability and progress for the long run. I've never had any problems staying in guilds for a very long time as long as they don't disband or something happens and everyone goes their separate ways. When I'm in, I'm in for good, period.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

I can promise that I'll always do my very best every single time, that I will think of the guild first, meaning I don't whine about loots, about who get's what when, etc, when I say I'll be here, I'll be there. I can say that I'm a real person, not some ilvl number on a screen. If you trust me enough to give me a chance to progress with you and gear up with you, I will be with absolute certainty, a very good member of the guild for as long as you'll have me.

Where did I hear about Iron Edge??

wowprogress and I'm very glad I did.

Last Words?

If I’m allowed to add something, here it is. I just want to say that, I know probably my ilvl is a bit lacking of what you want/need. I’ve been very unlucky with the guilds I’ve been in, no loots dropping in any raid I’ve participated. I don’t want to make excuses, it is what it is. What I want to say that, ilvl doesn’t make the player every single time. All I can ask for is a chance, to prove myself, to better myself and be allowed to evolve! I thank you for your time and patience reading my application and, if that’s the case, for considering it.

I really like your app, initially i was going to say no because we are on the edge with being full on healers. After reading your app I would like to offer you a trial, but i do have some conditions. I like my healers to have good offspecs and i'd appreciate if you sorted out your enhance and we will get you geared. Due to you being a bit undergeared i may have you on standby a bit but I will strive to get you in on every boss that we have on farm to get you upto scratch with gear.

I'm saying this without seeing your resto gear since you've logged out in enhance, if i could have a look at it that would be great.

Make sure you get your account activated so you can reply, hopefully some of my shaman friends can have a look at your gear etc.

Thanks for applying.

Hello Doomslay,
I want to thank you for the opportunity. Sorry about logging out in Enhancement gear, I've been doing it in Restoration in case you'd check it out but earlier today I had to leave in a hurry and I forgot! :) I'll log out in Resto tonight hopefully and you'll be able to check it out. Like I said in my application my resto gear is 552, I know it's a bit under what you actually need but I promise I'll work hard to meet your expectations. I totally understand being on standby and I wouldn't expect nothing else. I don't mind slowly making my way up!

Will be looking forward to hearing from you again and once more, thank you!

Looks good to me, shamans are lazy and not replying but if theres any gear issues we can sort them out after, i'd invite you on personality alone. Your PMs are sending fine btw but been out myself.

/w me or any other officer in game for an invite.
