Weekend Raider Application - Priest (Healer) - Miopia
« on: November 28, 2017, 10:47:42 pm »
Hello, Iron Edge!

I am applying for the Weekend Raid.

Character: Miopia
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Kazzak/Miopia/advanced
Class/Spec: Priest (Healer)
Member Type: wraider

Personal Info:

Joana
30 yo
Stockholm, Sweden
Working 5 days a week, free on weekends.

Class/Spec:

Holy is my main spec and the one i enjoy most playing. I'm 75 AP on holy and have equal amounts of AP on shadow and disc with the gear level being fairly identical, around 935-937 ilvl.

I played discipline during many years before it got a make over in Legion and since then I enjoy Holy the most. I understand holy to the fullest, it has a reactive healing playstyle which I love and have the most fun with.
I go for around 40% ish mastery, haste 19-20% (personally) and rest on crit, being best around 30%.
I usually take ilvl+int > stats unless the balance is very off. I switch often ledgendaries depending on the encounter or difficulty.
I cast HW serenity and sanctify on CD or any time is most opportune. PoM on CD. GH / Smite as a filling. GH/Flash heal for single target. Renew if I'm moving (more often if I'm wearing leg. pants). LoT mostly on tanks. And try always to prepare for a good hymn.

Alts:

Hunter BM, 920 ilvl

Professions:

Jewelcrafting maxed out with latest gems + mining.

Raiding Experience:

I play since the early vanilla days, 40-man raids and all. My highest end-raiding peak was during BC and I played a warlock.
After WotLK i quit and sold my old account. I then returned during WoD and played with this very character as a disc priest. I have exp in high end raiding both as dps and healer.

Previous Guilds:

Legion:
- Wild Blades / Almost Good: We raided through EN nm, hc and m then we disbanded due to lack of talent.
- Bliss: NH m then disbanded due to guild drama.
Then took a break from May to October.

Availability:

I'm mostly free on weekends.
Have only 1 upcoming event and it is this very sunday 3/12 that I will not be able to raid due to being abroad.

Communication:

Yep. Have discord. And yes.

Computer / Connection:

Alienware PC only 1 year old, latest specs and on swedish internet connection :)

Addons/UI:

https://miopiathefabulous.tumblr.com/post/167987555431/ui

- DBM
- Exorsus RT
- Details
- ElvUI
- Bunch of weak auras with sound cues on CDs etc.
- Spelltimers

Other Games:

Nothing else lately.

Why Iron Edge?

Because of the big community. The fact that many of you know each other irl and that you enjoy most playing with friends. It's the kind of environment I'm looking for. Moreover, once a week raiding suits me. I still wanna raid and commit fully in those 4 hours but don't have the availability anymore to do it more than once-twice a week.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

I'm easygoing and friendly. I am also an experienced player having played WoW since vanilla. I know my class and main spec in full depth. I prepare myself for raids both in knowing mechanics/when to heal and having enough consumables.

Where did I hear about Iron Edge?

Forums

Last Words?

Hopefully I get to heal for the most part in the raids since it's what I enjoy doing the most, but I am prepared and willing to go dps when needed.
Thanks for your time.

Hello Joana.

Can you tell me what happened after NH? Why did you stop raiding until now?

@Borky Hi! Nice to see a familiar face! Thanks for the vouch  8)

@Xormn The guild started breaking apart mid mythic progress and some members left including a key healing mate and from there it all crumbled. It was hard to find a decent new home, back then most guilds were either reaching Guldan or also stuck having their own drama so together with Gravybaby decided to take a break from the game altogether. We were also raiding three times a week back in Bliss and I personally kinda felt burned out.

Can add that my best logs are therefore from NH. I just pugged ToS a few times up to 9/9hc and been mostly focusing on AP farming and m+.

I'm glad you're looking forward to raiding again.

That being said, I'd like to give you guys a trial.

Poke any officer for an invite!
