Swiftnezz - Restoration Shaman A-raid application
« on: September 11, 2010, 03:59:26 pm »
Hello Iron Edge! I hope you will enjoy reading my application!

Personal Information:

My name is Kristoffer and I live in a small place in the western part of Norway. I'm only 16 years old and I hope you don't see my age as a problem, at least I don't ;)  The age is just a number, you should rather consider what age you think I am from reading my app :)  I'm a mature and relaxed person and of course I like to have a laugh. At these days I'm spending my days at school. And as I don't have any homework, I get a whole lot of free time. In my free time I'm going to the gym, being with friends, playing football, driving my moped and playing WoW. I'm kinda managing and planning my own life now so I can pretty much do what I want 8)

Character Information:

Name: Swiftnezz.
Class: Shaman.
Race: Tauren.
Played: 104 days total.
Professions: Blacksmithing and Enchanting.
Armory link: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&cn=Swiftnezz

My main spec is PvE restoration and my off spec is currently restoration PvP. I keep changing my off spec to everything but it's mostly resto PvP. I know how to play all specs, but I like healing best.

I have always liked PvP, but I usually don't get much time for it. Playing at 2200 - 2300 rating at the moment ???

Raiding:

When it comes to raiding I can offer you a very high attendance - it shouldn't be far from 100%. I take raiding serious and in addition to bringing flasks and food, I also use potions when needed and I always study tactics for new content or bosses. I'm not afraid of using the Ventrilo / Teamspeak!

More specific times:
Mondays: 18:00 - 24:00.
Tuesdays: 18:00 - 24:00.
Wednesdays: 18:00 - 24:00.
Thursdays: 18:00 - 24:00.
Fridays: always if not out with friends.
Saturday: always if not out with friends.
Sundays: always if not out with friends.

Raiding experience:

Note: Here I'm only listing the raids I did when they were up to date.

Unfortunately I missed whole classic  :'(

TBC:
Karazhan - cleared.
Zul'aman - missed last boss.
Gruul's lair - cleared.
Black Temple - only did a few bosses.
Mount Hyjal - cleared.

WotLK:
Naxxramas - cleared 10 and 25 man.
Obsidian Sanctum - 3 drakes in 10 and 25 man.
Malygos - cleared 10 and 25 man.
Vault of Archavon - cleared everything.
Ulduar - everything except Yogg-Saron and Algalon in 10 man. In 25 man I only cleared The Siege Area + General Vezax.
Onyxia - cleared 10 and 25 man.
Trial of the Grand Crusader - cleared 4/5 in 10 and 25 man.
Icecrown Citadel - 11/12 hardmode on 10 man, and 9/12 hardmode on 25 man.
Ruby Sanctum - cleared 25 man normal.

Gaming (optional) and World Of Warcraft history:

I used to play Warcraft 3 and some other games like Counter-Strike. But one day a friend told me to try WoW, and so I did. I made my account in May 2008 and I pretty much loved the game. I made a shaman on Dunemaul to play with many IRL friends. I started to quest my way to level 70... I played casual and leveled slowly, so when I reached level 70 it was not very long until Wotlk was going to be released. However, I did get time for  Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Mount Hyjal and some Zul'aman. I mostly ran around in BGs with my elemental spec as a PvPer noob!

When WotLK released it was time to start leveling again. When I reached level 80 I joined Abomination and went to clear some bosses in Naxxramas. Then I got an invite to my friends guild Immortal, I was there for a while during Naxx times but the guild disbanded after some time. Then it was Profanity's turn to have this awesome shaman called Swiftnezz in their guild! We were raiding a lot and cleared everything at those times.

When Ulduar came I leveled a paladin on Frostwhisper alliance side. I cleared the most of Ulduar including some hard modes with that character.

Right before ToC came out I started playing mostly on my shaman again, I joined Dreamers and raided with them for some time.

After that I focused more on PvP :P

I got invited to Cornucopia where I have been the last 5-6 months. I was in the A-raid and we were doing alright. We progressed LK 25 man and after we finally got the kill in April or May, we started doing hardmodes, we went straight to 9 bosses hardmode and we were progressing on Professor and Sindragosa hardmode. We were doing good, I killed LK 25 man approximately 6 times and cleared Ruby Sanctum 25 man but then the summer came...

Guild manager went on vacation with 2 other officers for over a month. At this time we lost our A-raid and we merged with B-raid. After these officers came back, we started building up the raid group again but now guild manager went offline for a month without even saying, He's probably working and left for good. This caused officers and even guildmaster to go slackmode. Everything was messed up and then I left, cuz I still got some bosses to kill before cataclysm is out! I'm not interested in farming 9 bosses. In those 5-6 months I was in Cornucopia we were raiding 3 days a week and I only missed 1 or 2 raids.

In between all this I have leveled some other characers on Dunemaul:
80 warrior http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&cn=Meki
80 mage http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&cn=Swiftymage
80 rogue http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&cn=Feelmyblades
80 priest http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&cn=Durable

Why do you want to join Iron Edge?

I have heard about Iron Edge since the day I started playing that this is the servers best guild. I have done some pugs with some people from IE and you seem very skilled, friendly and awesome. You are a bunch of cool people that I want to be a part of. You are also one of the older and stable guilds on the server. A stable guild is exactly what I need for Cataclysm, where I will be very active. I want some challenge on the healing meter. I would also love to compete for server-first kills.

What can I offer to Iron Edge?

I can offer you a skilled and active player with good raid attendance and good knowledge of game mechanics. I have insight and clue about all roles and the most classes. I never forget to my flasks, potions, food, and so on. My focus is always on 100% during raids, I'm always motivated and never giving up. I'm always completely aware of my surroundings on bossfights, and something I find just as important as healing is perfect dispelling, positioning and interrupts. I can always take good criticism as long as it's reasonable, there's always room for improvement.

Don't worry about my age or my low progress, I have tried Sindragosa and Professor many times and they are really easy. I'm just missing the group for it. I know that the important part for you is LK HM and RS HM atm. I have studied both of those fights and they don't seem too complicated at all, I'm completely prepared for those fights.

Last words?

I think that's pretty much it. Thanks for reading my application and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I hope you will find a spot for me :D

Time spent on this application: OVER NINE THOUSAND!
