Chronicle "Raid B" Application
« on: February 13, 2009, 01:51:36 am »
Ok, here we go...

Personal Information

My name is Katie, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Wales! <3 (Yes, I am fully prepared for all the sheep jokes...)
Currently studying Art at university... My drawings, however, do not compare to Fuzions!  :'(
I'm hoping to start an Advertising Design course next year, wooo!
During my spare time I like the normal stuff... Shopping... Going out... Sitting on Delling's rock when he's not looking... The usual...

Character Information

Applying as a Undead Holy priest...
C'est moi: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&n=Chronicle
(Last time I checked it wasnt updated... I have 2200 SP...Promise!)
Holy atm, always been holy... (Yes... I levelled as holy...! Crazy I know!) I tried shadow once and it felt... Dirty... (no offence to all the shadow priests... I do love you all really!!!) But yeh, So I don't really have any plans on going shadow... Unless it would be needed.

Raiding

Mondays: Yes
Tuesdays: Yes
Wednesdays: Yes
Thursdays: No... :( (I work from 18:00 til 23:00)
Fridays: Yes
Saturday: Yes
Sundays: Work from 14:00 til 19:00...

Generally I can make all these times, however if something does come up I always leave a forum post saying when/why I can't make it. (Not that it happens frequently)
Also, I know the B raid goes on Sunday afternoons... But I did hear that it could be changing, so... Fingers crossed!  :D

World Of Warcraft history

Wow has been my frist online game experience... Before that it was only Final Fantasy... and Metal Gear Solid. (I still maintain they are awesome! 7 and 8 being the most awesome...)

Ok, well, I started playing WoW about 2 years ago... Basically, because my dad seemed so addicted and I wanted to see what the fuss was all about! Made my first character on his account... A Blood elf Warlock... Lupine... (Warlock because "they get cool pets" as he put it and blood elf... cos they're pretty  :-*) On this very same morning I decided WoW was indeed, good fun, so promptly rang my boyfriend and insist he buy it also. Soon enough my Dad got pretty fed up of me using his account and bought me my own, yay!

After levelling a lock and (I confess) getting slightly bored of the "coe, shadowbolt, shadowbolt, shadowbolt"... I made a druid! Cravendale... Still really enjoy druid (played mainly as feral, tanked a few Karas and ZAs, but thats it...) but the Priest is the most fun class to play by far! So... I intend to stick with this one! And although I am undead, inside I am a beautiful Blood elf... I just prefer the undead racial!

I never played before TBC (Yes, one of THEM!)
Pre-Wrath I was in a guild called Bladestorm, we did ZA, Kara, but they were very tough on recruitment... So raiding became very hard as they lacked players, the next guild I joined was Rigor Mortis, where I cleared MH and BT on a trial rank called "Grunt". I never entered the Sunwell... Please don't throw things at me...

With Rigor Mortis in Wrath (after being promoted to a trial raider) I cleared:
Malygos Normal and Heroic
Naxx Normal and Heroic
OS Normal and Heroic (2 drakes up, not 3...) :'(

I left RM due to some friends migrating and also there was a player there who I had a great dislike for... Normally I accept that not everyone can get along, and that's part of being in a guild. But this guy was an extreme twat, to the point where it was no longer fun to remain in the guild. So that was when I decided to leave. Although I still have friends there  ;D

As you can from my armory link... I suck at PvP... If I'm honest I see someone running towards me I scream in the girly-est manor and button bash until I'm dead :( Yet, I did manage to get the PvP trinket, when it was needed for Archi, but those were horrible nights of BG farming  :'( PvP is not for me...

Why do you want to join Iron Edge?

To make stalking Delling easier...

Heh, not really, mainly to have fun, but I can also say the majority of pugs or instances I have done with Iron Edge-rs have been pleasant. (I hope some remember me...! :D) I think a mature but fun atmosphere in a guild is important, it's good to have fun, as that's what the game is about, but also, some things do need to be taken seriously, from what I've seen and heard, Iron Edge seem to do that quite nicely.

I also spoke to Grilly about the "B raid" and I think it sounds awesome :) I miss raiding 25mans, and also 10mans tbh. So it would be nice to be part of that again. Whether it be a night of wiping or awesomness, I think raids are the best thing about Wow. (If I'm rejected btw I would like to thank Grilly now, for one of the best Org picnics I've ever had it was magical <3)

Another reason... I'm not going to deny it... I want a hot Guild Tag... Who wouldn't want to be in the best guild on Dunemaul? I think Iron Edge would look pretty sexy under my name...!
Finally... (My last reason is quite a cute point...) My dad, on his 1st day on Dunemaul, whilst playing his undead mage, Nasty, actually signed your guild charter... That's right, Im a decendant of one of your original 10  :o (Cool, right?)

What can I offer to Iron Edge?

Uhm... Just myself, really, lol...

I think I'm quite optimistic, I try to help out when and where I can. General rule is treat people how you would like to be treated.

I also think I'm quite fun... (then again who doesn't like to think of themselves as fun...?) I think having fun while playing is a very important part of the game. It's the main reason to play!

I'll always come prepared, food, flasks, etc... Addons... Videos... I are prepared!  ::)

Happy to do instances and heroics just as much as Raids.

I'll happily take constructive criticism, I dont mind people telling me I'm doing something wrong, it's the only way to improve!

I bring Happy dances
I bring Singing
... and Cookies!

Last words?
I like Smileys  ;D

Thanks for reading, Iron Edge,
Please be nice ^^

What a great application!

And a great choice of race too -- blood elf priests should be outlawed.

Of course I am biased towards all of my rock-warmers, but I do think she'd make a nice addition to Grilly's Special Raid.

And she likes FF7.

Maybe in the Faroes... (man, that'd be a weird size and shape... like anime...)

No, Final Fantasy 7!

Good read! I once knew a welschman, he was weird.

Fingers crossed that you suffer from the same weirdomania.

I'm nearly stunned! All it lacked was a picture of some sort, but who cares? I got a red heart!  :-[

Really nice and well-written application! Judging from our picnic and the information here, I'd really like to trial you for the B-raid! From what I can tell, you'd fit right in and be a nice asset to the B-team (if you manage to tolerate the stupid conversations we tend to lead during trash).

EDIT: I will not come to your FF-themed wedding..

Our B-team raid brings all the pro applications to the yard, and they're like, its better than yours, damm right! its better..

Anyway very nice application. She has good gear, decent achievements, and a nice attitude.

Since we have recently lost two of our stable healing crew (and even Strongola seems to have caught the dps fever 8)) trialing her would be a good idea.

I think i did some heroics with her and she seemed nice enough.

Final Fantasy Seven is easily one of the best games of all time.

HUGMAN SAY GIEF!
