Ildlar b-team application feral druid
« on: December 09, 2009, 12:18:05 am »

Personal Information

Hjallo. Im a 25 year old dude from denmark called David. I currently work for a larger newspaper and at the central library. When not gaming Im also working on a small movie. Where im currently writing the script.

Character Information
My main char is Ildlar, bear tank
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&n=Ildlar
with a decent cat spec and gear aswell. Not the best of gear but I havent met anything that I cant tank yet. If Hp is needed I got some trinkets and frost res gear to get me up where needed.

Prior to wrath my main was Pulon. Where I was healing in RM, he is currently in a horrific state but I dont play him much.

Spec wise I could go with a more offtank approach or a more main tank approach. But Im quite happy with my spec as it is. But mostly it depends on the rest of the raid with Infected Wounds, Improved mark and if needed I dont see any problem for me speccing them.

Raiding

At the moment I dont raid at all. As a guildless soul Im forced to go with pugs if Im lucky with a guildrun, but those are very rare.  Back in a guild I raided almost everyday.
More specific times:

Mondays: at 1900+ servertime
Tuesdays: 1900+
Wednesdays: 2230+
Thursdays: 2000+
Fridays: Often from 1900+
Saturday: most likely not
Sundays: 1800+

World Of Warcraft history

My story started with the launch of Wow beta, but with some time away and other games that needed to be played it didnt get serious before Tbc. There I met some nice dudes in Armed and Dangerous we got maggy and gruul down with help from different guilds and kara was also a something we did. The guild leaders went into hibernation and I was forced to find myself some new raiding buddies. Although my healing gear was a bit low I was granted a trialist spot in RM. It was a nice with the progression and I actually liked the accomplishment of a boss kill after countless tries.

Wrath hit and I changed char which wasnt an issue at the time, but after some disagreements I left RM behind. The time that followed included a small stay in a minor guild but I found myself in The Enlightened soon after. TE had a good progression at the start but when the summerperiod hits a rather small guild it hits hard. So we in the management decided to disband and see what would happen. Pluug went to TE and some went inactive. Others mostly from Armed and Dangerous (now happily united) joined Resolute. The merge was a welcome one, and Resolute could finally get full 25 man going without help from the friend rank. But unfortunatly the odds didnt bear:) with me and Resolutes main management team fled to abomination. So here I am now.

All in all I got myself some knowledge of management, raidleading and raiding in the past couple of years. And I got to Kill bosses from Kara and to Brutallus before the nerf (with the exception of ssk). Wrath  I havent killed Yogg-Saron and Trial of the Crusader 25 man. Just managed to get Beasts down before Resolutes break. Also i havent done most of the hardmodes out there.

Why do you want to join Iron Edge?

Iron Edge is the rock of dunemaul. Many guilds have risen and fallen but alas Iron Edge is eternal. (Yeh I know a little over the top.) The community is strong and I know some of the members allready, both from Armed and Dangerous, RM and TE. I have raided a little with Delling in TBC and I liked the atmosphere back then. At the time being I wouldnt mind raiding only 2 days and it would probably suit me better.

What can I offer to Iron Edge?
A good rank'n'file soldier, a raid leader and bloody do'gooder. I hope I dont have to mention bringing foods, flasks, reading tacs and such, but none the less I do. Praising myself isnt really one of my stronger traits but I like tanking and I dont suck as much as many others.

Last words?
beer me, beer you, beer us together.  -Homer Simpson

Your gear isnt really up to our current tank standard, but I guess we could work with it.

Do you like dpsing or are you a tank to the bone?

Have you ever considered going boomkin?

Graxlos.
I am tank to the bone, but its allways nice to be able to other jobs at some point. My cat dps has hit 4k on some bosses ( cant remember which ones as i dont get to dps often) and my dps gear comes from what i dont need for tanking anymore. So yeh it aint the best. I wouldnt mind going full time cat though but bird I would rather not touch if I can help it. But all in all it doesnt matter that much as long as I can start raiding again.

Hey Pluug, good to see that your "work" computer is up and running again and thanks for the comments guys.

Thanks for the good application! With 2 druids on the roster, another one would not be bad.. Would, however, have to figure out bear/cat situation, if Graxlos is willing to go cat more or less full time, and if your gear is sufficient for not getting oneshotted in ICC25. Might have to feed you some tanking epics before we can let you take on the big baddies..
