Searching for short novels
« on: May 06, 2010, 04:46:48 am »
As the title says, I am searching for some British short novels (5 to 10 pages or thereabouts)  which contain many metaphors and challenging reading.

Can somebody link me material that i can find on the web if you got some links lying around containing criteria of such sort.

in advance thanks  :)

Look up the reading list for GCSE English Literature -- check the various examining boards. AQA, Edexcel...

Anything Gaiman. He toys with words in magnificence. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is also to be recommended

Not really sure I'd called it challenging reading, but Asimov's book "I, Robot" has some pretty good stories.

Ah, I have some more to add to this actually...

Roald Dahl's collection of adult short stories.

And Kurt Vonnegut's Welcome to the Monkey House.
Now I run a tech website.
