Amalthaea and Anasphyxsis
« on: August 22, 2010, 01:25:06 am »
Hi, I'm Heather, and I've been playing WoW for a year and a half now. I work as a teaching assistant in a special needs school and I'm 25. I've been a gamer since I first discovered frogger when I was about 5, have a long history of playing RPGs such as Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls, Fable etc, also was a keen participant in LAN parties playing Doom and Quake, later Unreal Tournament. I'm usually a sniper. I first discovered healing classes after having rolled a rogue, and find myself enjoying healing more than dps, generally on my druid or my disco priest.

I want to join Iron Edge because, in fairness, I'm fed up of healing people who stand in the fire. Not to say that people don't accidentally find themselves in the fire, but it gets a bit wearing when you get one or two individuals who always stand in the fire. However the main reason is that I spend a very long time levelling and raiding with Aretum [rogue, B team] and I miss raiding with him.

My character(s) Amalthaea and Anasphyxsis are both healers, Amalthaea is a restoration druid and Anasphyxsis is a discipline priest. I like both because they are key in maintaining the safety of a raid; the druid for top-up heals with HoTs and insta-kaboom-heals with Tranquility and Swiftmend [though she's raid-healed Dreamwalker, only 10man normal however]; the disco priest for damage mitigation [something I've learned to love having levelled with a death knight tank]. I love raiding. The game doesn't seem complete without it. I have many alts, I must confess I'm an alt-o-holic. However, I never miss a raid because I'm "too busy levelling". I love healing raids too much for that. Alts-wise we have Rinoa, my rogue, Ultimecia, my warlock and Arariel, my sub-80 holydin. Rinoa has mining, Ulti has alchemy and herbalism, and both Amal and Ana have skinning and tailoring, so I think I can help out the guild if needed there :)

Rinoa, Ultimecia and Arariel are all on Dunemaul as well, but as I'm not applying to join as dps I shan't link them.

My sole sponsor is Aretum, I must confess I dragged him into the eternal torment that is WoW, but he seems to be maintaining a real life, so I can't feel too bad. He's also one of the best rogues I've ever met [so not many] but has taught me a thing or two and is the inspiration to try to join a decent raiding guild :)

I guess that's it, I shall check this application [probably far too frequently to be healthy] and will respond to questions as and when.

Good hunting y'all.

Hehehe, I tried Yuffie, Terra and indeed Yunalesca [because despite that game needing... well... everything, I loved the premiss of her character] and they were all taken.

It's all her fault I'm here  8)

Good healer(s) good laugh, and trying for 'the insane' on a toon iirc... but does have a maddening number of alts!

As for bunny hoodie until they have a memory download device thingy, don't have a pic of proof

A wonderfully full gamut of RPG types, and the classiest of FPS games. If there's any game where it's actually not a douche move to be 'that sniper guy', it's Unreal Tournament.

BUT DID YOU PLAY THE ZELDA SERIES?!
