I (As a dyslectic person.)never understand the whole grammar nazi issues and all the fuzz people make about it. (In any language btw) For me it's all about as long as you understand what someone wrote who gives a fuck about grammar. Just my 2 drunken cents.

It's fine that she scolds them, I just find not capitalising i's to be far worse than skipping the occational end letter. Therefore it seems a bit ironic in this particular case as it really isn't a hard thing to remember.

Personally, I can't stand it because I can't understand it. But does that mean that everyone should speak the same kind of English as me? In an ideal world, yes... but it's not gonna happen.

Txtspeak is a full-blown dialect. Some kids/young adults have grown up with it for 10+ years. It's ingrained in their soul!

There are some truly awful cases though, where you basically don't save any letters and turn it into a completely foreign word. But I guess every dialect has in/slang words...
