I like the red sash hanging down his bum. Very stylish, Goza wants one.

Prince of Persia meets Hitman? Gameplay wise the fight did look quite crappy actually. But yes the graphic is impressive, maybe it's time to get a 360 someday just to goof off at visuals. I can get all snappy on virtual townsfolk and push 'em around on a bad hair day! And get hooked on Viva Pinata, of course.

Yeah this game is probably the most interesting game coming out, from my point of view. It looked really nice on the X360, and I'm sure it will look even better on the ps3. I think this may be the game that decides if I buy a next-gen machine or not.

what do you mean the fight looks a bit crappy? i mean if you get hit you die so you cant realy go in head first take 600 sword swings and still have 90% of your life after  you actualy won

realism my fried (well more so then other games) is what this game is about

also i love the wall climing stuff you can do looks fun

That's not what I mean. If you look closely, you'll see that there is always one single enemy attacking from the whole bunch surrounding him. Enemy 1 attacks -> player does counterattack. As soon as the counterattack animation is completed, the cycle starts all over again: Enemy 2 attacks -> different counterattack. During all this, everybody else is just standing around goofing off. Nothing is happening before the attack->counterattack animation has completed being played back. The whole thing looks very rigid and inflexible, there's almost zero interaction with anyone but the current active aggressor (besides the other moving around to make room).

Basically it's quite similar to the newer Prince of Persia games, and it sucked there, too. It's a cheap gameplay system.

See above. And what we see in the video is actually exactly the opposite of realism :)
But realism wasn't my criticism anyway, it was gameplay that so far looks crappy. Gameplay > realism.

I agree with Goza that the fight sequence looked sub-par, but they still have time to make it more seamless, it is slated for 2007. Anyways, as I understand it, the fight sequences are not the main focus of the game. They are actually something to actively avoid (think Splinter Cell etc.). That does not excuse that the mechanic looked a bit too "on rails", but everything else I've seen from this game looks amazing so far, so I'm still very optimistic.

This does look quite nice indeed, although not one of the greatest titles coming on the 360!
You should all have a look at Mass Effect, Lost Planet and Gears of War in particular, we're talking next-gen fo sho, ma ladies.

And as we're talking about the 360, about now would be a good time to get it.. seein as christmas is coming up soon, the PS3 has been delayed (not only in europe now).. and some kickass games are around the corner.

Gears of War - Emergence Day 17th November.

/EDIT oh, and about the referrences to realism.. If you're in a crowd of people and want to beat some guy up, you'll want to play it safe and let the other guys be on the recieving end of your enemy's blows, therefore a crowd may or may not act like we saw in the gameplay movie. I'm not claiming it to be realistic, no game is perfect nor 100% realistic, all i'm saying is that as a matter of fact, a crowd of people will act differently from an individual. You must not see it as "many indiviuals" rather as a crowd, and they act differently. That's what i believe anyway, chao!

Those games look amazingly good, and a Mass Effect video I saw really impressed me. However, I have some kind of fobia when it comes to futuristic games. I really do hate the lazer beamz and all that stuff. I'm a big fan of everything that got swords, bows and magic. (Somehow I belive that was what ruined AoE3 for me aswell. Where did the bows go?) And I love assasin games such as Hitman. Don't know why but it's just like that :P

The gameplay sequence you watched was on the "Beginner" setting Goza, trust me it's alot harder on a harder setting :)
