Crash.

Reasons;
1)I cried (Not loads)- my girlfriend digged that shizzle.
2)Made me think (about racism), most films don't make me think.
3)Thandie Newton - Perfection (Body & Mind)

Fight Club:

It questions reality. It is strikingly thought provoking and visually stimulating and the narrating voice of Edward adds to the awesomeness.

Death Sentence

This movie made me cry a lot (which proves how manly I am).
A very touching movie which shows what a person who have lost a loved one can do in his anger.
Anyone who loves "revenge" movies will love this.

American History X

American History X is one of the most powerful movies released in years. Not since Schindler's List has the subject of racism been so potently presented. The use of black and white to portray painful flashbacks is amazing, and the settings, while not necessarily pretty, fit the story flawlessly.
And The Heavens
Shall Tremble

So here's my list of movies of all time.

Dell, those are really worth watching

Absolute nr. 1

Dances with Wolves
3,5 hours lasting beautifully filmed all american semi-western; as it's mostly from the indian point of view. Especially the parts where Kevin Costner tries to interact with the wolf, while at the end... well not gonna spoil that. You will certainly swallow dry.

Absolute nr. 2 is a CARTOON
Disney's Robin Hood
This movie is hilarious - I even prefer the dutch version over the english thanks to the perfect typecasting. The snake is incredibly funny; both intelligence and utter dumbness put in one character. The drama in the final part is extremely well built-up, music is good and the cartoon is all-over really Disneyish. (Not like that Hercules-shit)

Nr. 3 is Enemy at the Gates
Extremely cunning to make a static movie like this so exciting. Jude Law is an excellent actor and Rachel Weis not less. Also the way the Russian Propaganda is shown is quite interesting.

Nr. 4
Strange this one has not been mentioned before: Gladiator.
Wow this movie is packed with nice shots, action, violence and a good story. Music is good, the end is so touching it almost makes you wanna cry.

I probably forgot about some, but i will add later, this should enough for a small movie-marathon.

Cheerz,
Aur.

Im amazed that nobody has mentioned The Shawshank Redemption  :o

The movie is absolutely brilliant with Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman playing absolutely brilliant, and the brilliant movie plot keeps you glued to your seat throughout the entire movie.

Imdb rating can be found at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111161/

I think a few people mentioned it in their top 10 somewhere... maybe in another thread though :)

I've still only seen it once, I could probably re-watch it.
Now I run a tech website.

I thought Troya was quite shit tbh, gladiator was nice on the other hand.  Too much Brad Pitt heavy breathage.
